  1. Wow...apparently I've been on the short bus lately. Monday the 16th did not register in my head what-so-ever as being Today, when I read the schedule...
  2. Agreed. Sometimes I know I haven't liked two posts in one day, but it says limit up after one...
  3. Buffalo gets West Virginia...
  4. The Buffale Pedazzlers or whatever the heck they were called weren't very good either.
  5. From a fan's sperpective: Better. But I'm not sure all that much better. 3-4 games that we lost this year could have been won if we'd have Tree as part of the inside game. The problem with having Tree (which we saw last year) is that the team became over reliant on him. Without Tree the new guys had to find how to thrive together. From a coach's perspective: IDK? Getting into a domestic confrontation with another person, who happens to be the star player of another team, can bring a lot of nonsense to the locker room I'd assume.
  6. Gosh darn it, I see it now that I look back! Are the Zips finally making me lose my mind?
  7. Bill Connely at Hustlebelt has a nice preview of the year for the Zips. He though the Zips would go 5-7, or 6-6 at best last year. Fun analysis, especially since he's calling for the Zips to take the BIG step forward
  8. Football is done with posting daily updates? I always enjoyed hearing from coach...it gets me pumped for spring-game and for Fallball
  9. Sorry guys, I'm just a casual basketball watcher, don't really understand the sport as indepth as some here but: WE NEED A GO TO GUY. I know reggie can hit the crucial 3 to keep us in games. Antino can drive to the basket, throw it up and get fouled in the process a number of times in a game. But we need a guy to throw the ball to in the paint, who will draw the foul and/or the and 1. Tree was that guy with this team. The fact that we could wind up with a 21-win season without Tree, should be a call for hope going forward. We're 1 of only 5 programs nation wide to have as long as a 21-game winning streak as we do. I thought the Zips were going to win this game when the erased an 8 point deficit and took the lead, but we couldn't close it out.
  10. After finishing the season 1-7 in the final 8 games...I didn't expect us to win 3 games in 4 days. Akron is really showing what coaching consistency does for a team. This team knows how to WIN in the MAC Tourney. Hopefully it can continue tonight.
  11. Neither team can get a basket to save their lives...just CANT seems to be getting more.
  12. Good for the ladides having such a great season after losing so many in the off season. But if I'm not mistaken, EMU lost a couple of it's player's earlier in the season. After that happened the team changed...for the better. EMU won 9 of it's last 10 games, they had a little more to play for I think. Goodluck to the Eagles, and thanks to the Lady Zips for a fun season!
  13. The only thing I've recieved is that season ticket holders pay $34 a ticket. Which, IMO, for anything that's not the championship game, is a joke.
  14. The Sooners are certainly getting a lot of fantastic press...
  15. I'm going with another performance like Monday. I think KD is good at getting his teams prepared for conference Tournaments, and we'll rattle WMU early. The score will be close, but never in doubt. Zips: 68 WMU: 64
  16. TeamRankings.com has the Zips winning in this one.
  17. Welcome back! No one can say for sure what time the game will be. Last year it was 2:00. A couple years ago it was 2:00. Three years ago it was at 2:00. Based on the trend, I'd be willing to say it's more than likely 2:00.
  18. I was called and emailed (twice), I think season ticket holders knew about the game. You wouldn't be a season ticket holder and not have a pulse on what's going on with the team. Monday is just about the worst day for a basketball game, especially when it's held at the JAR.
  19. Congrats Sina, awesome for her!
  20. I agree, I want one of the guys on the roster to step-up, including Pohl. We've got to have the guy on our roster who can take us to the promised land...if we don't...we've got bigger problems than we all realize.
  21. I was running late to the JAR here...perhaps I should leave
  22. Aren't we Lesser Cleveland?
  23. I didn't realize this before, but two (2) MAC teams are taking on the almighty State Ohio University Suckeyes in Cowlumbus this coming season. It'll be interesting to see how the best of the MAC fairs against the defending National Champion.
