  1. Zips sleepwalking. Some awful possessions.
  2. Amani has to look for the open guy when he gets the pass breaking to the basket and they collapse on him.
  3. Zips in warmups without game jerseys. I suspect we're going to get a surprise.
  4. I think Sharron is the type of defender that can give Sullinger a little grief. He can get up on him and steadily harass him all over the court. Torment him and make him use up shot clock.
  5. I think his defense will be vital also as I could see him matching up against Davis quite a bit. Davis is one of the best all around players in the MAC. Holding him to 6 pointsin the first game went a long way towards the win.
  6. I was using Portage County math. It was a typo.
  7. Mr. Pinky and his squad head into the JAR Friday night at 9:00 p.m. to face the Zips. The Flushes stand at 19-9 after a rough start. Since the loss to the Zips in January 31st, the Flashes have gone on a 6-1 run, losing only to Miami. They are coming off of a 40-point shellacking of Toledo. I'm not a Mr. Pinky fan but I have to admit his teams seem to peak at the end of the season. VonCameron Davis continues to lead scoring at 15.4 ppg. Jaden Sullinger is second in scoring at 14.3 ppg.
  8. Not exactly a confidence inspiring finish with PCCC coming up.
  9. That's twice in recent weeks the Zips have inbounded the ball into the corner and been trapped. That's awful. I taught 5th graders not to do that.
  10. Some awful offense and shot selection by the Zips late.
  11. So Ball has a guy nicknamed "Fat" but it isn't Sparks?
  12. Muncie cuisine catching up?
  13. I like Okonkwo buy he whines too damn much.
  14. 29 minutes in and Sparks has played only 16, the least of any starter for Ball. 1 point, one rebound, 0 fouls.
  15. Hardman can shoot it when he comes set and isn't drifting.
  16. Lewis apparently did not get the memo on defending the Zips three game. I love Enrique but I have issues with his optician.
  17. He was gassed in warmups. Sitting on his keester in Bloomington followed by 6 months of Fortnight will do that to you. It does not appear that there was a disciplined off-season. That guy should dominate the MAC. He's not even playing like the best big residing in Muncie.
  18. Not just you 1981 grad.
  19. Sparks playing zone. The other 4 Cardinals playing man. They guard switches to Lyle on a pick and Sparks stands under the basket pointing at the guard at the 3 point arc. LOL.
  20. AGAIN! Showing that who's in the starting lineup means very little.
  21. I'd like to see that to, if good threes are available. I just don't think the threes are readily available as much anymore as the MAC coaches have finally figured out that the best way to attack the Zips is to sell out to defending the three. In the first 10 MAC games, the Zips averaged 31 threes a game. In the last three they have averaged 19 a game. I think that decrease has been caused by the MAC teams now focusing on preventing the three as opposed to the Zips passing them up and I suspect we'll keep seeing that trend. Here's hoping that when that happens the Zips are prepared to attack inside and in mid-range. I hope that tonight they run Payton Sparks ragged. I remember an NIU game at DeKalb years ago when they had a decent Euro center that beat Big Dog down the floor over and over for easy points and ran him ragged. I'm hoping Okonkwo and Amani do some of that tonight.
  22. Akron -8.5; under over 156.5.
  23. Sounds like it.
  24. Good riddance NIU.
