The Zips need to shoot like they did in the second half against PCCC to have a chance in this one. I love how he's aggressive and attacks off of the dribble. While others will jab step or catch and shoot the three, he looks first to go to the hoop.

The shooting was great in the second half against PCCC, but the rebounding made a huge "rebound" too. The guys seemed to take note of Groce harping on them in the early timeout in the second half and started doing better on the boards. They'll need that Tuesday night as Buffalo gets on the boards including their guards.

The only sign of chippiness I saw was very early in the game when a PCCC player went to the hole and Cheese got called for a block. The kid popped up, stood over Cheese and said something to him, which provoked a response from Cheese. Nothing major. Nice to see a clean game. I suspected we might see something after Utomi stepped in under the KSU kid on the 3 pointer, but nothing happened.

There's also a team calculation that involves a formula utilizing field goals attempted, offensive rebounds, turnovers and the total number of possessions.

Groce said in the postgame that the players' primary interest after the game was their defensive efficiency stat. I think that pretty well sums up this team's focus.
