$60 for a season GA ticket to 15 games. It isn't getting more reasonable than that. Also, as much as we'd like to see more people at the JAR, UA is consistently in the top third in MAC attendance.

I don't think the KD detractors realize that the only reason for their complaints is the level of expectation KD has brought to the Zips program. There weren't discussions like this when Dan Hipsher was recruiting division 2 level players to UA (including his own kids). The program was mired in mediocrity and we had no expectations, happy to be occasionally competitive. Now, based upon KD's hard work, we've been to the summit of the MAC and want more. We're not having these discussions without the KD based success. Changing course from the guy that's brought the program here is more likely to set it back rather than further the success. Don't get me wrong. I'm the guy in the bleachers smarter than the coaches and I whine about bad defense on dribble penetration and all of the other faults we beat to death on here, but to jump ship here or make major changes would be the NCAA basketball equivalent of the the New Coke.

Maybe they can get an equity line on that empty behemoth of a football stadium. -

I guess we have to count ourselves in the minority- those who give a $h!+ about UA basketball. Sigh. -
Do you think some of that could improve with a new conference? I agree the MAC is competitive with respect to parity, but I think the quality of play is questionable in the eyes of the national basketball observers.

A 7 seed in the NIT for the regular season champ of the MAC is a strong sign of the respect the college basketball world has for the Tuesday night football playing, poorly officiated, ESPN kowtowing, Mid-American Conference. Rant over. -
I think the successor is the current Director of Basketball Operations.

Well, good for the Texas kids. They get to their home state twice this year. Who knows, maybe it helps us to continue to recruit well down there. -
Sure, a 58 year old coach would chomp at the bit to uproot his life and family to relocate to coach a 7 win team. Makes all the sense in the world. Mayne they got it wrong and they're chasing Dru Joyce.

Easy Skip. It was a joke and an expression of disappointment. -

I am relishing the opportunity for the Zips to prove they're the 69th best team in the country. -
Also, let's not forget, the players have a role in this. I don't think KD and his coaching staff are going to stop a kid from taking a leadership role or showing a little fire.

I'm not pleased at how this season ended or many of the previous season endings. That being said, you have to be realistic in your expectations. Sure, there's room for improvement, but does anyone realistically think that UA is going to make a change? KD has won and won and won, and the school's most visible benefactor will always be in his corner. He's not going anywhere, so cool your jets Zips fans. Sure, there can be a reassessment of the recruiting process, a review of the assistants and a revamp of how they perform in the post-season, but it's going to be on KD's watch. The only way KD moves on is on his terms. As for an assessment of the season, my greatest frustration is that I saw no improvement as the season went on. If anything, they regressed. From game one to last night, they never figured out how to defend dribble penetration. They did an awful job with defending the pick and roll all season. Big Dog continued to attempt to defend guys with 10 foot shooting ranges 20 feet from the basket. Teams figured out how to defend Kwan and no adjustments were ever made to counter what the defense was doing. Players like Josh Williams and Aron Jackson regressed and no player appeared to get better as the season went on. In the end, far from perfect and things to work on, but jumping ship isn't the answer or even a possibility.

My biggest frustration with this team is that they were the same team last night that they were in their first game. They may have even regressed. Still getting beat with dribble penetration, Big Dog still trying to guard guys 20 feet from the basket, no leaders on the floor, still making mistakes in guarding the pick and roll...on...and...on...and...on. Our opponents eventually figured out what we were doing on offense and defense and no changes were made to counter them.

...and the solution is? Remember, for every successful young up and comer there's a Coleman Crawford or Dan Hipsher. Be damn careful what you wish for.

Anybody who thinks the MAC deserves more than one spot in the NCAA tournament should have to watch that sh!t show game on an endless loop. What a disappointing finish to the season. What a disappointing last month. Congrats to Kent. They outplayed the Zips. Most importantly, they played defense with significantly more intensity than thE Zips. When they doubled Big Dog, they quickly recovered to defend the perimeter. They gave Kwan nothing all night and no one fIgured out how to counter it, despite having seen the very same thing twice before this year. I'll be less angry/more cogent in the morning. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!

Thanks, but I'll take my $60 general admission seats and find my own seats, after being essentially ignored when I had reserved seats.

The free tickets I got from t-mobile are club level at half court. I'm just glad I didn't get free tickets for a Ball State- PCC final.
