I just saw the Hamilton, Ohio and knew it was somewhere around Cincinnati. For all intents and purposes, it is West Virginia adjacent.

The 1-6 Golden Eagles of SUNY Brockport come to the JAR Saturday afternoon at 3:00 as a part of a doubleheader with the Zips women. The Beagles are familiar with Ohio having previously lost to Case Western, John Carroll and Mount Union. 6'2" junior guard Zachary Rice leads scoring at 13.4 ppg while also contributing 5.3 rpg. I'm trying but can't put a positive spin on this one. Evan Wilson is healed up so we'll get to see him!

Hardman is not going to get as many looks now that opponents have some Akron film on him. He's an awful defender and got caught in some bad switches. I was surprised at how often NKU just put Robinson stationary in the low post when he was so successful moving on the floor. He's a heck of an offensive player for being the Horizon Defensive Player of the Year. He's also an Ohio kid.

Looked healthy. I suspect maybe he is coming off of an illness.

Some ugly spells tonight on offense and some really awful fouls. Groce was not happy with their sharpness or the fouling.

NKU got to 2-5 yesterday with an 86-70 win over Bellarmine. Trey Robinson led the was with 24 points and 8 rebounds.

In the absence of a new AD to do it, unless Nemer is willing to step up and commit to Moorhead that the University will commit the resources to make the program competitive, why would he want to stay if offered a high paying opportunity elsewhere? That "despite the resources - or lack thereof - that we are provided" statement was not coincidental.

I think it's all an indicator of the nature of Groce. He adapts to what he has rather than trying to pound square pegs into round holes. He has shooters and depth now, so it's off to the races with lots of three pointers. Last year, he had a dominant post player and not much depth and he slowed it down and played inside out. In Groce I trust.

I understand they only took that game for the payout. It helped to fund the entire athletic program including basketball program that had a staff that regularly failed to come up with a competitive OOC schedule.
