Cuse fan here...I'm hearing we are now going to open up at your place on Sept 4th as opposed to Sept 18th. Can you guys confirm?
I would be ecstatic if that's the case...but odds are we won't hear anything from athletics about a permanent football schedule until March. Anyone have some inside info?

Hopefully one of you guys have a contact inside the AD office...the national scheduling websites are not real timely
We should find out August 28th when the opener is and that the online team shop has added new items.

We don't learn of our schedules early, as a rule. A large part of that is the MAC front office making it impossible to set things up in advance because of the screwed up scheduling that we endure because of Temple.It's a complete crap shoot. Something I was hoping would be partially remedied with a new AD, but instead nothing has changed.

Only the ones that aren't on TV because the ESPN contract demands that they have "choice".

Was afraid of that....well I'm hearing they may announce by the end of the month...I expect to get up for the game....will be bugging you guys about tailgates and where to set up. Enjoyed meeting your fans at the Dome. I'll keep you guys posted what I hear.

We usually get our schedule information from other school's announcements. For example, Indiana just announced that they are playing Akron in Bloomington on September 25th. That's more than our own athletic department has acknowledged.I guess we'll all just have to wait for the announcement to come from Syracuse.

we're playing Kentucky on September 18th...Indiana on September 25th...which leaves September 11th and September 4th open for Syracuse and Gardner-Webb...It makes sense:9/4 vs. Syracuse9/11 vs. Gardner-Webb9/18 at Kentucky9/25 at Indianaman, what a september that would be...

If only we could switch Syracuse and Gardner Webb, I would like it more. We need that easy game to get things together under the new coach before facing a real challenge.

I actually would love this schedule. I definitely see your point about GW. No doubt it is very valid. However, I think you need a bit of splash to start the season and the Ianallo era. Not to mention, with OSU playing on Thursday, getting butts in the seats for Syracuse is crucial. One might say that either way we would have butts in the seats for Syracuse b/c they are BCS..but that just isn't true (based on Indiana last year and SU's recent struggles). Also, from a city/NE economy perspective..might get a few more folks travelling from Syracuse to Akron/Cleveland on Labor Day weekend. Finally, if we can get this win, we get a week to heal and get "rested" (subs by late 3rd at latest) against a weaker opponent before 2 straight BCS opponents. 3 straight weeks against SU, UK and IU would be beating our players up pretty good.In addition, one small item= SU will have a QB starting with even less experience than Nicely in Nassib. Might be better to get after a guy like this in week 1 vs. week 2.

Let's see....75% of OOC games against BCS teams. Coachers are going to be so excited when the team starts 1-3. They'll be packing butts in the stadium after that start.For the love of Christ, would someone please stop setting this team up for disaster at the beginning of every season. There isn't a single program at UofA that plays the percentage of difficult teams the football team does. This needs to stop. It isn't helping.

No, soccer does (so more of you being wrong). And sorry, but we should be able to beat low level schools from the "big conferences".

You're a better poster than this.The point isn't to play the Malones of the world, we have our basketball team to do that for us. How about a FAU or someone along those line? That is a more competitive game and makes more sense. UofA needs to play more home games and less ass kickings on the road. The schedule isn't helping.
