Its been a rough 4 game stretch. All our remaining regular season games are at home where we have yet to lose. Hopefully this helps propel us to get back on track before the MAC tourney. I say the Zips win by 7.

I agree, Kreed.

Like I said earlier, we've played 9 road games and 6 home games in conference play, and still have a 1 game lead.  I think that's a very coveted position to be in when you haven't lost a home game all year.

Win these 3, and we walk away with the outright title.

We can use all of the fan support we can get.

Can't have another let down. Akron's been lucky that the teams below them haven't gone on a win streak during Akron's struggles.

Returning home to the JAR will be a big boost. Zips by 13.

What a rough stretch of games for the team and the fans.   But if all goes well we could have "home court" advantage in SIX more games instead of these final three.   Time for a re-set of the season.

I have the same uneasy feeling I had before the Miami game, or maybe it's just the Mexican food I consumed for dinner. BG looked much, much better last out when defeating the kittens.

Of course, we hope that was an anomaly, and the 7 straight losses right before that are more indicative of their recent play. :D

If we can beat someone this year by 15 on the road, I think we SHOULD be able to slaughter them at home.

I see BG as one of those strange teams that seems to play better on the road than at home. It may not always show up in wins and losses but I think they perform as well, or better, when the crowd is against them as they do when it is behind them. The Zips certainly cannot take this one lightly at all and coming off of three out of four losses I don't think they will.

KD always has a way of turning things around right when people get down on the team. The loss @ NIU a few years ago comes to mind when a couple people stated how they were done with the program, and I think we ended up winning the MAC. Things don't seem great right now but a few wins at home, a regular season championship and we'll all be feeling just as good as we were two weeks ago.

Yep, lets just take care of what we do best....winning at home.

As someone stated earlier, Cleveland always seems to be like "home" for us also.  I think we have just as good of a chance of winning the regular season title and tournament title as we did in any of our other title years.

Considering that we have lost 3 out of 4 and just lost by 10 to the last place team that we crushed at home, I think this will be a hard fought game.  The last 2 games have exposed an offensive problem if teams do not double Big Dog and stay with the outside shooters.  Our inside out game is Kaput.  We need players to dribble drive to the basket to create space for the outside shooters.  We need more than 8 assists and we need to find open looks for Reggie and Jake.

I still think that Jimond can help this team if we spread the floor and allow him to drive to the basket. Obviously, KD has no faith in him but desperate times call for desperate measures.  This is probably the biggest game of the season in that we need to show that we can handle a defense that does not double down on Big Dog.  Go Zips!!

I agree that this will be a hard fought game. But I feel like we just need to hold on tonight. KD had said Pat should be back for the OU game. While he's not having a stellar season, defensively it will make a big difference. Not to mention it will help our rotation and minutes played which should also hopefully help us with our big guys getting into too much foul trouble.

IMHO, another aspect of good (& basic) offense which is needed is when Big Dog has the ball down low, instead of the other 4 hanging around on the perimeter, we need someone to cut to the basket for easy assists from Dog.  All 4 of our players hang around on the perimeter & just watch Dog go to work if he's not double-teamed.

The problem with that is you're bringing another defender down low while he's putting the ball on the floor. I'd take my chances every time with Big Dog 1 on 1.

It's easier said than done, when you simply don't have much ability in that area.  You can only do what you can do, with the talent that you have.

With that said, Antino is really the key.  He's the creator that can leave a defense scrambling, when he's playing well, and not when he's getting frustrated.

Without him, yes, we're left with the best of what we have.  A post player who can score, and some long range shooters waiting on the perimeter IF he gets pressured and can get the ball back out to them.
