So far I see a total lack of effort on D and way too many turnovers. It is possible to turn this around but the boys seem to have no heart tonight. Hopefully they will prove me wrong.

Typical Zips. Just when I start to believe this team is different they lay another egg.

Nice first post in the basketball forum this year. See ya next year when we lose our first MAC game.

As is tradition, about this time in the season the other MAC teams start learning how to play us.  There was going to be a loss somewhere a long the line here.  If and that's IF it's tonight, it was predictable and doesn't doom our season.

This game is still winnable.  They are shooting 75% from 3 land.  That will not continue.  We are getting killed on the boards.  No reason for that.  I am curious to see who will step forward.  Looking for a big 2nd half from somebody.  My guess is Antino, Big Dog or Kwan.  Go Zips!

We got out rebounded 19-10 in the 1st half. If that doesn't change in the 2nd half I don't care how hot we get in 2nd half, we won't win. If our defense can't get stops, we need to create turnovers.

In one half at least, I feel like I am seeing the best Center in the MAC, by a long shot.  And he's not wearing an Akron uniform.

Please change my mind Zips.

That dude's owning Big Dog.

The problem is that we always believe that nobody will continue to shoot as well as they do against this defense. While 75 percent from three on that many attempts won't happen, it doesn't need to happen.

Bottom line, it seems like every game, it's "well, we got their best shooting day." At what point does that not become a surprise?

That has to be the worst looking basketball court in America.

FWIW, at least it has contrasting colors.  Oregon's "tree court" is so shady that it confuses the viewer and makes it hard to see or follow the ball.

This is the worst Zips team defensively I've seen.

Keith acknowledges that it's his worst, or one of his worst.   As I said earlier, you can't "teach" defensive effort.  And what I have been seeing is just lack of focus and effort.
