The Hip Zip Posted March 21, 2017 Report Posted March 21, 2017 As long as we aren't going to get into this thing I would love to see somebody plant #45 into the hardwood. Quote
1981 grad Posted March 21, 2017 Report Posted March 21, 2017 Noah needs to stay with his man. You cannot give these guys open looks on the 3 line. They are killing us. Quote

Blue & Gold Posted March 21, 2017 Report Posted March 21, 2017 (edited) And they're doing this to us without their 2nd-leading scorer. I'll tell ya, maybe it's good we're getting completely exposed like this. I was one of the ones who posted after the YSU loss that we were in for a disappointing season and that we weren't that good. Well, then we dominated the MAC. But that was fool's gold. The MAC was awful. It allowed us to continue the illusion of being a good team. This game is rightfully exposing our weaknesses and showing that we have plateaued and that this program is not moving forward. KD truly has to shake things up. morris buttermaker Posted March 21, 2017 Report Posted March 21, 2017 I think I've seen this defense run by the Washington Generals 1 Quote
Sportsjunkie330 Posted March 21, 2017 Report Posted March 21, 2017 This is VCU bad now. What a shame. Quote
kreed5120 Posted March 21, 2017 Report Posted March 21, 2017 Yeah, I had to turn the game off after they decided to turn it into a dunk contest off of the errant pass. Quote

NWAkron Posted March 21, 2017 Report Posted March 21, 2017 So Ball is coming back and Woodson will be QB? And Chapman is a wide receiver now? 1 Quote
zippy5 Posted March 21, 2017 Report Posted March 21, 2017 We played like crap but what are you gonna do when they play like that? They'd beat about anyone in the country. Quote

dre22era Posted March 21, 2017 Report Posted March 21, 2017 @EA3Kazoo: I've only seen Akron get run out of the gym twice in last decade. First time was against VCU a couple yrs ago in dance. Second is right now Quote
GoZips88 Posted March 21, 2017 Report Posted March 21, 2017 ... is the NCAA, by chance, also experimenting with a 'mercy' rule in the NIT? 3 Quote

bUAkronG Posted March 21, 2017 Report Posted March 21, 2017 If there ever was a play that summed up our game it's them hitting a 3 and us going down and getting the ball stuck in the backboard. On a positive note, Ivey proving to have a lot of heart. Quote
clarkwgriswold Posted March 21, 2017 Report Posted March 21, 2017 Ugly way to end the season. Further proof that the Zips were the best regular season team in a bad conference. 2 Quote
Balsy Posted March 21, 2017 Report Posted March 21, 2017 Good lord. This is why it's so difficult to be an enthusiastic, up beat Zips fan. You go out and win a game that was neck-and-neck and then immediately get blown out in a tournament that means nothing. The Zips always play good enough to be pretenders but that's just what the Zips are, pretenders. 1 Quote
clarkwgriswold Posted March 21, 2017 Report Posted March 21, 2017 Now I know what it's like to be a Radford fan. Quote

A lot of posts on here about their talent level. I don't think they're too much more talented, if at all. We have athletes. They're maybe a little longer in the backcourt. Most of all they play their asses off for 40 minutes. We may have played hard for 40 minutes total this year. If KD needs to change anything it's figuring out a way to light a fire under their asses. dre22era Posted March 21, 2017 Report Posted March 21, 2017 Feels like I am watching Zips football in March @SpinDavies: Embarrassing performance tonight from Akron. Can't believe this team, the seniors especially, is going out on this note. #NIT 1 Quote
