zipsoutsider Posted September 21, 2018 Report Posted September 21, 2018 Yeah, I am guessing Moos is putting on a show for their fan base, who did not believe we should be paid, and will quietly pay us in full after it has died down. They went ahead and found an FCS team after their program started in the dumpster and we beat NU. They are quietly realizing that cancelation may have very well saved them further embarrassment. 3 Quote
Cykron Posted September 21, 2018 Report Posted September 21, 2018 Once again, you clearly see the difference between Iowa State values and Fusker values! Welcome to our border war. Quote
K-Roo Posted September 21, 2018 Report Posted September 21, 2018 Hey -- did I miss something here??? There was a kickoff -- the game started.. contract fulfilled.. Show us the money... 3 Quote

They think just bringing in a new coach will change everything back to what it used to be. I've got news for you. The players for them now aren't as good as they were before. Looking forward to the wake-up call that will come from the Zips. P.S. Each time you score, listen for the roar of approval that will come westward from Ames. Further proof of the accuracy of my August 13th post about Nebraska's delusional fan base. Quote

NWAkron Posted September 21, 2018 Report Posted September 21, 2018 I wonder if there is an arbitration clause in the contract. That might benefit us. I guess we could file a lawsuit in federal court since it's a dispute between universities in different states for breach of contract. Quote

Williams sees it differently. "They didn't want to compete at our level,'' he said. Love this Quote
ZippyRulz Posted September 21, 2018 Report Posted September 21, 2018 I hope we stand our ground and don't roll over for a "settlement". And I hope Bethune-Cookman demands payment in advance. 1 Quote
NWAkron Posted September 21, 2018 Report Posted September 21, 2018 And tomorrow it's definitely "GO BLUE!!' Quote

zippy5 Posted September 22, 2018 Report Posted September 22, 2018 Fun question.. if we played today, what would the spread be? Quote
MDZip Posted September 22, 2018 Report Posted September 22, 2018 I don't think the Huskers are going to have to worry about that Big Ten Championship date. Or a bowl game. 3 Quote
zipsoutsider Posted September 22, 2018 Report Posted September 22, 2018 About to drive through Lincoln...with my Zips shirt on. Wish I had time to troll and take a selfie in front of the stadium. 1 Quote

GJGood Posted September 26, 2018 Report Posted September 26, 2018 With Nebraska out of the picture, anyone know of any attempt to set up an end of season "if needed for eligibility" game with any other team that has had a game cancelled? I imagine there are a number of teams that are a game short after the hurricane came through a couple of weeks ago? East Carolina or Coastal Carolina maybe? Quote

LZIp Posted September 29, 2018 Report Posted September 29, 2018 Nebraska down 3 scores at home vs. Purdon't. Their excuse to schedule Bethune Cookman right after we beat Northwestern/they lost to Troy because they expect to playing in the B1G championship game looks funnier than ever right now. Bethune Cookman may very well be their only win on the season. 2 Quote
zippy5 Posted September 29, 2018 Report Posted September 29, 2018 That's not a guaranteed win anymore 2 Quote
NWAkron Posted September 29, 2018 Report Posted September 29, 2018 (edited) It's almost Halloween. May the ghosts of Lula Strigmyer and May Stevens continue to haunt the Cornhusker football team until Nebraska pays its debt to The University of Akron. http://www.gendisasters.com/ohio/17345/akron-oh-buchtel-college-tragedy-dec-1890 Edited September 29, 2018 by NWAkron 1 Quote
