clarkwgriswold Posted February 23, 2019 Author Report Posted February 23, 2019 Zips getting killed on the boards. Quote
kreed5120 Posted February 23, 2019 Report Posted February 23, 2019 Like seeing Cheese attacking early. He normally doesn't get aggressive until the 2nd half. Quote
clarkwgriswold Posted February 23, 2019 Author Report Posted February 23, 2019 Nice run. Hopefully the end of Daniel's woes. Quote
NWAkron Posted February 23, 2019 Report Posted February 23, 2019 6 straight inside points from Miami Quote
clarkwgriswold Posted February 23, 2019 Author Report Posted February 23, 2019 Sometimes it seems like the Zips have a higher shooting percentage from outside of the three point arc than they have from inside the restricted zone arc. Quote
clarkwgriswold Posted February 23, 2019 Author Report Posted February 23, 2019 Banks shot has regressed as the season has gone on. 1 Quote

kreed5120 Posted February 23, 2019 Report Posted February 23, 2019 Cheese and Utomi combined for 29 of our 37 1st half points. Quote
zipfan84 Posted February 23, 2019 Report Posted February 23, 2019 TEAM is playing better with Cheese and Roscoe in together. Love LCJ's heart and effort but he is just too small. 1 Quote

clarkwgriswold Posted February 23, 2019 Author Report Posted February 23, 2019 Groce good and angry. Quote
clarkwgriswold Posted February 23, 2019 Author Report Posted February 23, 2019 I miss Charlie Coles. His tirades and the possibility of him having a major coronary at any moment added a little excitement to every game. 2 Quote
clarkwgriswold Posted February 23, 2019 Author Report Posted February 23, 2019 Miami's leading scorer, Sibande, has more fouls than points. Quote
NWAkron Posted February 23, 2019 Report Posted February 23, 2019 I thought we were good at the line? Quote
NWAkron Posted February 23, 2019 Report Posted February 23, 2019 (edited) 5 excruciatingly long minutes left. Miami just trying to draw fouls now. Bonehead move by Jimond Edited February 23, 2019 by NWAkron Quote
Let'sGoZips94 Posted February 23, 2019 Report Posted February 23, 2019 Cheese's growth & development has been fun to watch this season. Poke and Riak are getting better. One of the most complete games. Loved it, good win, onto the next one. 2 Quote
NWAkron Posted February 23, 2019 Report Posted February 23, 2019 Excellent and needed win. With Ball State losing, Zips are well-placed in the seedings Quote

Add in the ball movement and better shot selection on offense and it all added up to a comfortable win. In control all the way! Go Zips! 3 Quote
1981 grad Posted February 23, 2019 Report Posted February 23, 2019 WE shot 47% from the field and 44% from the 3 line. That has to be our best shooting percentage all year in the MAC. I think this team plays so much better when they shoot the 3 ball less and today they only took 25 3 ball shots. This team can play with anybody when they shoot the ball well. It seems that Riak and E Man are playing better, especially on defense. When the team is shooting well their offensive weaknesses are not as glaring. I thought Groce was going to have a stroke when we were up by 11 and we turned the ball over on a fast break. He immediately called a timeout. If we can shoot the ball this well in Buffalo we stand a chance of winning. Great to see Daniel hitting the mark on the 3 ball. 2 1 Quote
Illini Zip Posted February 24, 2019 Report Posted February 24, 2019 Even though Ivey had a few good moments, this is the worst I have seen him play in a very long time. He just wasn't fully engaged today. Otherwise, great teamism from our Zips in a must win game. Quote
1981 grad Posted February 24, 2019 Report Posted February 24, 2019 Loren Jackson only took 6 shots and only 2 three pointers and we won big time. I know that he made his only short jumper. He had 4 assists to 2 turnovers. He was in some foul trouble and only played 25 minutes. He still scored 11 points and missed several foul shots or would have scored 14. If he could be more of an assist guy and not lead the team in shots every game I think it would bode well for "teamism." Quote

I hope he plays this bad all the time. 1 Quote

And I don't remember him leaving his feet and getting caught without an outlet like he did today. Quote
