bigzipguy Posted March 16, 2019 Report Posted March 16, 2019 BG with a quick 7-0 run Now up with 2' 17" left Quote
bigzipguy Posted March 16, 2019 Report Posted March 16, 2019 BG manages to hold them off. I do believe that after all this mental and physical drain, they will not be able to give the Bulls much of a game. Once again the MAC will be a 1 bid league Quote
NWAkron Posted March 16, 2019 Report Posted March 16, 2019 (edited) Take a look at the record from Huger's first 3 years. It wasn't great and there was a regression in his second year. End of last year some of HIS recruits left. Now he has something working. Sure a coach might catch lighting in a bottle like Oats (inheriting and finding some top talent) or Groce (at OU) but for the most part it's a grind. Gotta have some patience. kreed5120 Posted March 16, 2019 Report Posted March 16, 2019 Since 2005 the MAC East has produced 25 out of the 30 MAC finals teams and accounts for 14 out of the past 15 tournament championships. 1 1 Quote

Gave Buffalo an extra possession which led to a one point lead for them. I was hoping for a CMU/NIU final. There was another bad call right before that one on a foul where the defender did nothing except touch a Buffalo player on the back down low. Even the commentators replayed it and indicated it was not a foul. It was a terrible call in the last 2 minutes. I thought it was the same ref we had yesterday. 1 Quote

AND they had the ref who called (from half court) that bogus goaltending on Jimond during the BG game Quote
MDZip Posted March 16, 2019 Report Posted March 16, 2019 Is anyone not rooting for BGSU tonight? They have never won the tournament and if they do it puts two MAC teams in. Go Falcons 1 Quote

bigzipguy Posted March 17, 2019 Report Posted March 17, 2019 Great effort by BG, but Bulls pull away in last 5 min for a 14 point win Quote
Blue & Gold Posted March 17, 2019 Report Posted March 17, 2019 Congrats to the Bulls. Great team. Quote
Let'sGoZips94 Posted March 17, 2019 Report Posted March 17, 2019 TOS to Buffalo (we can only hope). Congrats to the Canadians, and to the Children of the Corn (BUGS). Great seasons by both, greatly exceeding expectations. Buffalo was ranked the entire season, while BUGS came out of nowhere to grab the 3 seed and finish 2nd in the tourney, all the while being one of only a couple teams to knock off Buffalo this season. akronzips71 Posted March 17, 2019 Report Posted March 17, 2019 They are the real deal. Should advance in the Dance. Quote
