Which discussions we will not be having this season

[1981 grad]

I have been posting on this board for several years and there are certain discussions that seem to pop up year after year.  However this year is different.  Here is my list of threads we will not see this year.  Please feel free to add to this list:

 

Akron does a terrible job of promoting Akron basketball and getting butts in the seats.

The fans in the blue seats sit on their hands and show little enthusiasm for the team.

Which Akron player do you want to see with the ball at the end of the game with the game on the line?

Which Akron player has shown the most improvement from last year?

Why can't Akron recruit a  guard who can control the game like D. J. Cooper?

We need a new coach that can win a NCAA tournament game.

Interesting point.  Now would be a great time for leadership to change the seating arrangements in the JAR to get students closer (if they wanted to).

Con:  Reminder that humans will fight for anything that is free and if those cannons shot out jars of free cancer cells, humans would fight for them.

Despite having a relatively innocuous payload, these guns have not always brought joy to attendees. In 2018, a mascot named Chip at the University of Colorado-Boulder suffered an injury when a T-shirt cannon malfunctioned, shooting him in the groin. (The video, of course, went viral.) That same year, a fan named Jennifer Harughty claimed that Orbit, the mascot for the Houston Astros, shot her with a T-shirt and shattered her finger, necessitating surgery. In 2019, Alex Swanson was at Citi Field for a New York Mets game and alleged that a shirt struck him in the eye and knocked him unconscious. Both sued the respective teams.

 

remember if you see the University you must file in the Court of Claims.   I was lucky.  not injured.
