According to the article, he's lawyered up and will probably get a big settlement and another gig somewhere after a year off. The story isn't a great look for OU, but compared to Sherrone this looks fairly minor. I'm not surprised if there is a settlement reached. Quote

Definitely minor compared to Michigan, but IF he cheated on his wife with a student, I think that’s a big deal (though I realize there are disputing facts on this). If that didn’t happen (as well as nothing else not yet reported), agree the case OU has is VERY weak. I don’t know why they’d want to go out of their way to get rid of him though. Sustained OU’s success and beat WVU. Quote

I don’t know if I’d consider them the most talented team in the MAC (in fact I think they were picked pretty low preseason), but drilled CUSA’s media darling. Love it. 1 Quote
GP1 Posted December 20 Author Report Posted December 20 Did anyone listen to the river of nonsense GameDay shoveled through the TV this morning in regards to the playoff and bowls? Naturally, the leading idea was to expand it to 16 teams even though an 8 team tournament is more than acceptable. If the NFL only has a 25 team playoff, 8 is enough for college. College football isn't competitive enough to expand it. I know that's shocking coming from a company that would benefit from the expansion. Dumbest idea that seems to be gaining traction is playing the bowl games before the season starts. I go to Florida a lot throughout the year for work. It is a completely undesirable climate in August. I listen to these buffoons talk on GameDay amd it's starting to make me hate college football. It's all so gross. Quote
kreed5120 Posted December 21 Report Posted December 21 I watched the NFL games today instead of the bowl games. I'm not sure what the powers that be hope to achieve by expanding the playoffs. Unless you're a fan of the teams playing, who is going to watch JMU-Oregon over Packers-Bears? The more they try to expand the playoffs, the more games that will overlap with NFL time slots. 1 Quote

Because coaches and players leave, and the players falling out of shape because of the gap between the end of the season and the first games, the football is just bad. Please raise your hand if you saw a well played college game. If anyone watched these games and felt quality football was being played, I have ocean front property in Arizona I'd like to sell you. It was terrible. NFL games between even average teams provides much better entertainment. The only people who say good things about it are the bobbleheads on ESPN. The NFL should look at the ineptitude of the powers that be in college athletics and run this nonsensical invitational tournament out of business by hogging up TV time on Saturdays in December. The NFL could easily run it out of business or at least drive the games to less desirable weekdays. Give it a catchy name like MACtion and watch it collapse. Edited December 21 by GP1 Quote

He makes $7.5 million currently. How about he takes a pay reduction to $2.5 million and instead of needing $20 million he would only need $15 million. Quote
MDZip Posted Monday at 03:45 PM Report Posted Monday at 03:45 PM Just keeps getting better and better for Michigan. 👍 1 Quote
