Ben Iannacchione figures to be the real deal. He's back in his P5 comfort zone. Good for him. Do we know if we're promoting from within?

LZIp
To the relief of most and dismay of some, it doesn’t appear DJ is going anywhere. Also, congrats to Coach Fessler!

I hope they're ok with this news that DJ will not being transferring to the SEC.

A saw a few people call us a dirty program and it caught me off guard. Turns out it was Tennessee fans who apparently hold some vendetta against us for one of their WRs getting hurt on a low tackle. Give me a break.

Cry about it more at the Orange Bowl, and feel free to send us another $1M check in the future if you want "revenge" on us for tackling your stud WRs that you left in while up 4+ TDs.
GoZips4824
Zips will be hiring Jeff Sobol to replace Ben Iannacchione as their head strength and conditioning coach. Sobol has been with Kent State since 2018 but was let go this year after Lewis bolted to Colorado 2

Let'sGoZips94
Zero issues with this. He was at Syracuse prior to KSUcks. I wonder if he and Reno have a relationship. Congrats on getting out of Portapotty County, Jeff!

I’m sure Sobol is happy to stay in the area and not have to pack up him and his family and move halfway across the country

It has not been officially announced yet, not sure when it will be. If I am wrong on this I will delete my account, watched as him and his assistant got a lift in Stiles FH this afternoon.

Probably only a year or two away from losing Renna, Bell, Rodriguez, and Popper too. JoeMo put together a talented staff that will likely go on to bigger opportunities.
kreed5120
It's always a good sign when bigger programs want your staff. It means that you're doing something right. It's just a shame he wasn't here long enough for us to experience some success before he left for greener pastures
Blue & Gold
I met him briefly and he was a terrific guy. Feel happy for him as he played at Minnesota. Good for him. He'll be difficult to replace but JoeMo will do it. (And, to be perfectly honest, though Winston is an A+++ person, the DL sort of underperformed my expectations this year.) I thought we would be better along both lines of scrimmage this past year. The most encouraging sign was the development throughout the year. That’s the mark of any good coach. A consistent pass rush left a lot to be desired, but the run defense took a major leap forward.
