NWAkron
http://bball.notnothing.net/mac.php?sport=mbb i don't recall a year in which nothing is really settled heading into the final game. Kent could be 1. Akron could be 2. Central, Eastern, Miami, and BG all have a chance at #8. Ball State v Ohio as 4 and 5 appears to be locked down. That's going to be a rough evening for one of those fan bases.
GoZips88
Seeing PCCC @ #1 up on the large scoreboards in CLE = 🤮 and I'd rather not face Toledo until the semis. Would love the opportunity to send Pinky and his little fairy dancer home in the QFs. Edited March 1, 2023 by GoZips88
RowdyZip
Most likely scenario is Toledo beating Ball State, and Akron/Kent falling into the 2/3 slots depending on Friday's result...and then a semifinal rematch on Friday if both teams win their Thursday game. Time to get the Madness going...
NWAkron
Zips will play either Buffalo or Northern Illinois.
zippyfan34
So does this pretty much guarantee our Thursday game will be no earlier than 4:00 if we win against Ravenna and then 6:30 if we lose? The 1 seed game at 11 and then assume 2.5 hours between games (2 hours for game and 30 minute warm ups), 4 seed at 1:30, 2 seed at 4:00 and then 3 seed at 6:30. If any games go to OT then those times will be pushed back.

Either of these times they’ll get this year and it will be much better. Pizza 216 is a great spot for the fan party. Not as good as the Corner Alley was though. More space there. But the Italian Nachos are next-level delicious.

I thought the idea behind the one seed playing first is the give them the advantage of having the most rest between game. if that is the case, shouldn't the 2 seed be the next game? They do it this way because the 4-5 game winner has to play the 1 seed in the 2nd round. If you gave the 4-5 seed the late game then asked them to play the first game the next day, that would mean they're playing the 1 seed on ~19 hours of rest, meanwhile, the 1 seed would be on ~28 hours. That's too big of an advantage. Edited March 2, 2023 by kreed5120

NWAkron
I didn't realize NIU/EMU game was earlier today. And that should be the end of Emoni Bates's college career. Bates went 3 of 16 for 6 points. No words at this point. The #8 seed will be either Miami, CMU, or BG. Miami controls its destiny. Will they pull off an upset in Buffalo like in 2020. If Miami loses, they need Western to beat Central. Edited March 3, 2023 by NWAkron
