clarkwgriswold
I thought a thread to discuss the happenings around MAC basketball might be helpful, rather than trying to fit all news into other threads, so here it is. I see that Sullinger played in the PCC opener. At first, they were going to redshirt him. Last week, Mr. Pinky said he hadn't made up his mind. Monday night, he played. I know there's no longer a definite number of games you can play and redshirt but it appears Mr. Pinky is playing his card.
Blue & Gold
He should. He's got to take advantage of having the 1-2 punch of VonCameron Davis & Jalen Sullinger. And that is a scary 1-2 punch. But it'll make it even sweeter when we take those two down again 🔥🔥
RoyalBlu
I thought Miami and Central Michigan winning their games on the road were pretty solid signs for the MAC. Don't forget, CMU finished 3rd last season and was in the title chase before a couple players got hurt ... and they are supposedly better/deeper this year. Miami is still pretty young, but starting to look like the Miami program of old under Sendek and Charlie. Very solid roster with more good recruits in the pipeline. Both of these teams will be Top Half MAC, also likely contenders and tough outs in the MAC Tournament.
zippy5
And don't forget, this is definitely the year BG is a contender.

App State had almost a full roster's worth of turnover and played very sloppy. They had 19 turnovers, shot under 30% from 3, and under 40% from the field. Flip side, Miami shot over 40% from both 3 and the field. A more cohesive, less sloppy team will give Miami fits.

I suspect Mr. Pinky was just making him work for it to get back on the roster for this season. 1
