Not sure we'd play this brand of basketball with Enrique

Only the Enrique 2.0 that is playing with the Pacers/Ants. He’s added to his skill set. He drives to the hoop more and shoots the three better. He has always had the motor to play at this pace. I just think he would be an absolute nightmare with this team because nobody could double or triple team him. If they did, these shooters would make them pay.

I don't think Freeman stymied Castenada's development? Tribble went from 8.6% to 35.7% from behind the arc with Freeman last year.

We had zero threats from the perimeter last season. Sammy Hunter was streaky at best, and he was the best shooter we had. We really had no option but to ride Enrique night in night out.

Give me an NBA caliber low post player + the guards and wings we have today any day of the week.

I actually think Freeman leaving helped some of these guys develop. When you have a talent like Freeman it becomes easy at times to just run the offense through him and let him do his thing. With him gone we were forced to redevelop our offense and players were kind of just tossed off the boat and forced to either learn to swim or drown.

Obviously with Freeman we would be a better team. I'm just not sure we would have seen our guards develop the way they have if he was still here.

I completely agree. Would I want to have a chance to see Freeman with this team? Sure, but now that we're not dumping it in to the low post so often, the spacing for guys like Nate, Tavari, Shammah and others has opened up and I think this is a big factor for how much we've improved "finishing" at the rim this year.

Having said that, we will remain vulnerable to taller teams if (hopefully) the situation presents itself again.

Zips shot 67% from the field and Amani was 7 of 7 in 12 minutes of play but 0-2 from the line.  Bowen 4 for 4.  The game was moving so fast I think I missed 2 of those.

Problem stat:  12 turnovers from the starters.

Zips were behind 3-2, and after that Broncos got as close as 3 with 9:17 left in 2nd.  Technical on Bronco bench.  Zips already had 81 points.

39 of 62 on field goals for 63%. That will be hard to do in RMF/Cleveland.

We absolutely would with this type of supporting cast. As Captain said, we had virtually no consistent shooters last year; Freeman was our only consistent scoring option.

Could you imagine being able to go inside-out, with Freeman's passing vision, with these shooters this year? Opponents would be forfeiting halfway through games because their players would get motion sickness from having to keep their heads on a swivel so much.

63% from the field is closer to our season average than the 44% from 3 that WMU shot (before the final few chuck and pray possessions) was to their season average. I like our chances to replicate our offensive superiority in Cleveland more than any other team.

Agree to disagree. Okonkwo gets 20 minutes a night, Lyles 12.. Not sure Enrique runs at this pace for the 33 mins a night he got last year.

Anyway enough of this hypothetical because it comes off like I'm knocking Rique which is definitely not the case lol
