Most interesting bet you will not find on FanDuel: What happens first on the calendar?...Do Zips football score a point or do Zips Men's Soccer allow a goal?

Sorry, men's soccer..

Well, I visited some friends and went to this thing.

It was not good.

Great atmosphere at Nebraska though.  Would recommend going to a game at Memorial Stadium.

Maybe just not an Akron one.

If Joe has any decency, he resigns.

College football is long past decency. He needs to abide by his contract and so does Akron.

The only hope is if a P4 school hired him away as an OC. Considering Akron is last in ppg, I don't see how any school could justify hiring him to their boosters. We should have never extended him after a 2-10 season.

I had no expectations of this game.  Only hope.  Hope that they would show some improvement and not be embarrassed.  Those hopes were dashed on the first drive.  The Zips moved to midfield in large part on a 19 yard quick hitter (their longest play of the year to that point- UGH).  On third down, players are running all over, everyone looks lost and yet another early timeout is called amidst the confusion and chaos.  They then come out of the chaos with Johnson at QB, clearly screaming out to everyone between Akron and Lincoln that a QB run is forthcoming.  Predictably, the QB run was unsuccessful and in comes the punt team.  Hopes dashed early.  At least I wasn't teased.

He's not exactly adding positives to the old resume with any successes from Akron.
