WeRise225 Posted Tuesday at 11:25 PM Report Posted Tuesday at 11:25 PM That penalty was a gift, didn’t look like a foul Quote

Zips1991 Posted Tuesday at 11:34 PM Report Posted Tuesday at 11:34 PM No way that should've been waved off. He touched the defender, sure. But he didn't foul him, he simply out jumped him. 2 Quote
Reslife4Life Posted Tuesday at 11:37 PM Report Posted Tuesday at 11:37 PM This whole game is weird. I never understand why we play this so late in the season. You might get vertigo watching this on TV 1 Quote

MDZip Posted yesterday at 12:35 AM Report Posted yesterday at 12:35 AM Man can it really be 20 years since Sinisa Ubiparipovic was leading the Zips deep into the NCAA tournament? Also as an aside I like seeing the Cleveland skyline in the broadcast. Even if they are filming it from Mentor. 1 Quote
MDZip Posted yesterday at 01:07 AM Report Posted yesterday at 01:07 AM Can't believe they scored another goal in the last 10 minutes after that little oops from Kaminsky. Quote
Zip_ME87 Posted yesterday at 02:50 AM Report Posted yesterday at 02:50 AM Happy to get out of Cleveland with the (ugly) W, but this is frustrating as H*LL. This team is so much more talented than they're playing. Love these guys, but they have to stop hanging their heads and decide to fix this. The coaches can only do so much. The players have to own this. It is theirs to be mediocre or come together like the 2018 Zips, who finished the season strong and went all the way to the College Cup final ... unseeded and on the road to win the MAC Tourney at WVU and defeat Syracuse, Wake Forest, and Stanford to get to Santa Barbara. 5 Quote
72 Roo Posted yesterday at 02:23 PM Report Posted yesterday at 02:23 PM This team has so much potential, yet there seems very little urgency to reach it. By now (in the season) we should be getting better and turning the juice on. Zip_ME87 is right in that the 2018 squad is a perfect example to follow. Find out what they had, add it to this team and they will go far. 2 Quote

My understanding was that Ezana Kahsay (not a team captain) challenged his teammates following the late season (Oct 20, 2018) loss at shite Northern Illinois. After that the Zips went on a 9-game winning streak ... capturing the MAC Tournament title on the road at WVU, then winning a 1st round NCAA game at home, and Round of 32, 16, and Elite 8 games on the road and crushed Michigan State 5-1 in the College Cup semifinal in Santa Barbara before being defeated by Maryland 0-1 in the NCAA Championship game; a winning streak that included defeating #1 Wake Forest in Winston-Salem, NC. Does our 2026 team have a catalyst and the heart to put together such a run? With determination and some help, we can still make the BE Tournament; With RPI currently at 11, we're still in position to earn a seed in the NCAA Tournament, but only if this team has the mentality to come together and make it happen. We've been treated to some nice Zips' crowds on the road this season supporting this team. I just booked travel for the game at Marquette on Nov 6th. Come on Zips, make this happen!!! This team has talent....as evidenced by some of the quality wins earlier in the year. The team that played Cleveland State (#154 in RPI) last night....is not deserving of an NCAA top 16 seed. As evidenced by wins over top 20 teams (Cornell and Wake Forest), the team is capable of winning many games in the NCAA tournament. The defense on this team is elite. Matthew Paiva should be the Big East defensive player of the year. Cole Perez is one of the best freshmen in the country. I hope that last nigh's close encounter ...will provide a spark and lead to an inspired performance Saturday night against a co Big East Midwest leader. 1 Quote
