  5. Big South Conference Final #34 Gardner Webb at #15 High Point High Point wins 3-0 to improve their record to 13-1-4 Akron stays at #10 in RPI High Point jumps from 15 in RPI ....all the way up to #11 Gardner Webb drops from 34 to 36. High Point may play in a weaker conference......but they have been very impressive against teams ranked in RPI top 43 High Point vs., Top teams 2-1 win over Georgetown 3-1 win over #43 VCU 2-2 tie with Marshall 3-0 win over #36 Gardner Webb (regular season) - Gardner Webb had a regular season win over West Virginia 2-2 tie with West Virginia only loss is to #27 UNC Greensboro (UNCG plays #21 Furman tomorrow) 3-0 conference championship win over #36 Gardner Webb 4-1-2 record against Quality opponents Georgetown, Marshall and UNC Greensboro all play in conference finals tomorrow.... if those 3 teams all win, High Point will jump over Akron in RPI. 7. The Summit League final......had a result.....that should be good for Akron for RPI purposes When the game started, Kansas City was at 14 for RPI and Denver was at 29..... A Kansas City win over a high RPI Denver team...could have moved Kansas City ahead of Akron in RPI. Denver is the Summit league champion with a 4-2 win over Kansas City. as a result of the loss, Kansas City Roos drop down to 20 in RPI. the Denver Pioneers move from 29 in RPI.....up to #23 in RPI The Denver win was good for Georgetown. Georgetown has only lost 1 game since August 25. Their one loss was on October 7 to Denver. Before the Denver win, Seton Hall was 17 in RPI and Georgetown was 18 in RPI. After the Denver win, Georgetown is 16 in RPI and Seton Hall stays at 17. The Georgetown-UConn winner will deservedly jump ahead of Akron for NCAA seeding purposes. In a regular season game. Portland got a 1-0 win over very low RPI St. Mary's as a result of the weak opponent, Portland dropped from 5 to 6. Big Ten regular season champ Maryland moved up from 6 up to #5. As a result of the Kansas City loss, High Point moved up to #15 in RPI. With a win over #34 Gardner Webb, High Point could move up in RPI. High Point just scored to go up 1-0 (57 minutes)
  8. Their 1 win coming against Illinois State (respectable) where the viral highlight is the Ohio player missing a dunk at the buzzer with the whole team around him. Iconic.
  9. Yesterday
  10. Congrats to Sinisa and team, but more importantly, I believe that CSU win is good for the Zips since we played / defeated them this season.
  11. Congratulations to zips all time soccer great Sinisa U. He is the head coach of Cleveland State. the Vikings advanced to the NCAA tournament with a 1-0 win golden goal at 103:44
  12. Ohio falls to 1-3 after a 106-81 loss.
  13. Ohio playing at #12 Louisville on WGN. Still early on.
  14. He’s legit 6-8 according to this article, so he might still have another inch or two in him. I really like that he has shown signs of being able to hit mid-range shots. https://u1hoops.com/2025/07/14/devan-christion-scouting-report-clark-high-schools-sleeper-with-size-touch-defensive-upside/
  15. Milwaukee (to #15 TTU) and Tulane lose
  16. Thank you to the zip athletic staff for doing these excellent features on Stu Parry and putting them up on YouTube. For Zips season ticket holders, this will allow them to see what they missed at home games on ESPN Plus.
  17. All of them until proven otherwise. With Devan coming out of nowhere, there's recency bias for me and I'm really intrigued by a 6'9" F with his level of athleticism. 6'4" and 6'5" guards though maintain fantastic size in our backcourt and everything about Ladd sounds like he's a real player. St. Iggy to Akron is an awesome pipeline I'd like to keep going. The St. Iggy kid Kent has can shoot so if RJ has the ability to contribute like that as a freshman, look out. We will still have 2 open spots automatically to bring in transfers. This is truly a dynasty being built.
  18. I honestly don’t know enough about them yet. But the video above of Devan is quite impressive. Is he really 6-9? He sure is skilled and athletic for a young forward.
  19. Netters beat Toledo 3-0 tonight. If they beat Toledo tomorrow they qualify for the playoffs (and potentially knock Toledo out since the Zips will finish with the same record and took both games of the series so will finish ahead of Toledo). The Zips can still qualify with a loss but BGSU must lose to Buffalo. The Zips will win the tiebreaker with BGSU. They split their two games but the Zips have a win over a higher ranked team (WMU) than BGSU does.
