  1. Past hour
  2. Looks like he's making progress as he's gone from a cast to a brace. Also, Sharron looked to be walking without a limp.
  3. I'm perfectly fine with Miami winning every game until they lose to the Zips in Cleveland.
  4. Miami pulled today's victory out of their butt with a desperation contested 3 to tie The Buffs with 1/2 second in regulation. I switched back to Akron/Western skipping the OT. The Buffs will test us.
  5. Today
  6. Hopefully Chabi will be back before we make our stretch run + the MAC Tournament.
  7. Umass loses on the road to NIU, welcome to the MAC!
  8. Two one-possession losses (Miami-Kent) and I don't think they play either one again (might be wrong) which puts UB in a bind when it comes to tiebreakers down the road. Edit: 87-81 Kent, one possession game until final seconds. UB does not have another game with Kent, but does have a return home game in a couple weeks against Miami.
  9. Buffalo has some weird games where they look top tier and others where they look like a 6 seed at best. Interested to see which we get
  10. So excited to see us face Gillespie 🙃
  11. this team is on pace to set the zips record for highest scoring average, 93.4 ppg so far this season, 84 ppg last season. home win streak intact, 2nd highest in div. 1 currently.
  12. closer at times than we would have wanted but fun game for the crowd. big FTs by Eric to finish off WMU
  13. Nice to see that we can still hit 100 points regardless of the lineup rotation.
  14. The Zips shuffle off to Buffalo for a Tuesday night contest against the Bulls. The Bulls are 13-5 coming off of a last second OT loss at Oxford. According to Gross this is the best Bulls team the current has had since his arrival and are very good offensively. Wisconsin transfer sophomore guard Daniel Freitag leads the Bulls in scoring and rebounding at at 20.3 ppg and 4.5 rpg. Junior guard Ryan Sabol is second in scoring at 17 ppg. They are 6th in offense and defense in the MAC.
  15. The Lyles-Mahaffey x2-Tavari-Shammah looked good today. Easily our best five IMO.
  16. Buffalo on the road sounds like it could be a good challenge. But at the same time I could see them having an emotional let down game like we experienced after losing a close one in Miami.
  17. And bad coaching. Buffalo was up 3 with 12 seconds left and let Miami get two 3 point attempts. Should have fouled and put them on the line.
  18. 29 point turnaround after the Zips were down by 14.
  19. “We are going to get every team’s best shot” not kidding today
  20. Great response by the Zips. The MAC does appear to be much improved.
  21. January 31st 3-15 Akron vs 2-15 Buffalo. Mark your calendars
  22. I don't know if it's factual or not, but it feels like there are much fewer charges called than previous years. Not just in Akron games either.
  23. I think him coming out of nowhere helped because defenses don’t really guard him out there. When he made those open ones early in the year it solidified his confidence in the shot. The mental aspect is probably bigger than we expect
  24. How did Amani Lyles turn himself into such an effective three-point shooter?
  25. We've struggled all season in securing defensive rebounds. Way too many 2nd chance points.
