1.) He's a #2 guard and not a PG 2.) If he wants to attend a school where his teammates stink, so he can get get a ton of playing time, he probably shouldn't choose Akron.

If it was based on offensive numbers, wouldn't Marcus Keene have been POY? I realize there's a whole lot of butt hurt in Zipland, but let's transfer that hurt into enthusiasm for the new regime, not revisionist history. Sure, it's painful that we're in a period of transition, but that doesn't need to result in the knee jerk reaction that everything under the prior regime was substandard.

I see that Collins and Poke are following each other on twitter and someone mentioned about Patton and Collins following each other, so....

The one thing I don't think many people are thinking about right now, is that all these Zips/MAC players transferring to Duquesne may be hurting Duquesne on the recruiting trail because they know they may be able to play this season, but what about the following season when all of them can get back on the court in games? We have basically a clean slate here, and that's more enticing to recruits than not sure where you might be in year 2 of your college basketball career.

Agree DL is still a big concern. I guess I'm just hoping the players have continued to develop as they should. Would feel much better about Woody being healthy too, but I don;t think he is going to end up missing a game where his play would be the deciding factor. Lets hope we can bring in a D-Lineman who contributes more than Jelani Hamilton did last season.

You go this direction, because you don't skip your freshman year. He still has 5 years to play 4 seasons. If you go to a JC you lose a year of eligibility.

Some would contend that we STILL do not really have a video feed. He was a Center out of Pittsburgh that got a lot of attention when he came here, hardly ever played, and ended up doing a graduate transfer to a D-II school. Great kid. He was on the roster during our 2009 title year. That's what makes it even more puzzling to me that he wasn't getting any offers. Like I said, it seems like just about everyone takes chances on these kinds of guys because of their size, even if they are completely raw, talent wise.
