  1. Rebounding is a team effort. If you look at the box score you will see Ken+ had 9 players with a rebound, 6 with 4+ rebounds, and their leading rebounder was a guard with 6. We talked about Riak stepping up to help clean up the glass, but Cheese ended up finishing with a game high 8 rebounds. I love the way he has developed this season. He's stuffing all the stat categories. Ivey 2.0

  3. Doesn't every team control their own destiny? Even 0-10 WMU, however improbable, could still win the MACT and punch their ticket to the big dance.

  4. I'm a fan of whatever gives Akron a 1st round bye and has us avoiding UB until at least the final.

  5. Richie Laryea is still in camp with Toronto of the MLS... keep working hard, Richie!!! zips nation is rooting for you https://torontosun.com/sports/soccer/mls/just-one-more-exhibition-before-concacaf-season-starts A TASTE OF MLS Vanney was pleased with his club’s performance in a 1-1 draw against the Los Angeles Galaxy on Saturday night at Dignity Health Sports Park in L.A.. Both scores were own goals. A Rolf Feltscher backward header was inadvertently redirected into the Toronto net by TFC’s Terique Mohammed, while a Richie Laryea cross was deflected into the L.A. goal by Galaxy defender Dave Romney.

  8. It's not showing up for me. What is it? _____________________________________________ Heck of a turnaround by Groce and company from last year to this year. We gave the MAC Tourney a good run last year with less than we have this year. We control our own destiny, and I love it. Gonna be a fun final month!

  9. Eubanks was too. Apparently Antino and Eubanks gave the players a talk before the game.

  11. One of the Comments of the Year came from Antino Jackson on the post game show - "I love watching those guys lose. Can't Read, Can't Write, Kent State!" Funny that he seemed slightly happier to see Kent lose than to see Akron win? He sounds like a fan. I thought it was interesting that Antino, despite bolting to New Mexico for his senior season, was on such friendly terms with Groce. Transfers are such a commonplace event anymore...why not wish a guy well and move onward.

  12. This may be an interesting little pickle to watch. It appears Groce has really been stressing getting back on D. I only guess at this because while watching the bench, the players were constantly waving the guys back on D when we missed a shot. So I assume they're picking up on that urgency to get back from the coaching. Our D's been absolutely top shelf, but I wonder if a bit of that may come at the expense of offensive rebounding?

  13. I love how he's aggressive and attacks off of the dribble. While others will jab step or catch and shoot the three, he looks first to go to the hoop.

  15. WTF? When a Zip hits his teammate he does it right: knocks out some teeth and leaves him unconscious.
