No moral victories but I'm encouraged. This team isn't going to be outclassed by anyone in the MAC, that's for sure. Williams has MAC POY potential. What a stud2 points

Hanging in with a team with guys who have never played together, against a superior team with bigger better faster guys. This level of play should be competitive in the MAC.2 points

Sayles looks slow compared to the rest of the team. I just not sure he is going to see a lot of minutes. LCJ already has at least 4 turnovers. He should know better then get trapped on the court. The poor shooting hit us again when we did not score toward the end of the second half. Not sure if this team can maintain this pace unless they get help from the bench. I don't think any of our bench as scored.2 points

Let's get a thread a way-to-early thread going about our predictions for the season. If anything it's fun to quote at the end of the season when some people think we're going to go 1-11 and others think 11-1. Let's have fun again! 1) Overall record, 2) Offensive MV, 3) Defensive MVP, and 4) MAC Champion next year. Here's next year's schedule for #1: @Illinois vs. UAB @ C. Michigan vs. Troy @ UMass vs. Kent vs. Buffalo @ N. Illinois @ BGSU vs. E. Michigan @ Miami vs Ohio1 point

I was jumping up and down in my pajamas whilst watching the Tottenham-Shef U match, and they showed this at half! Plus I have the Honey Badger on my Premiere League Fantasy team!1 point

Peering into my computer screen, I think I saw two members get advised to ratchet back negative Arth comments. One complied and now rarely posts and the other either quit or failed to comply and got booted. I'm not 100% certain about this and admit that it has been some time since I cleaned my computer screen.1 point

For the most I really liked what I saw from this team. I believe that the talent level has generally increased with the new guys really playing well but what especially turned me on was the fight in this group. Similar efforts will win us a lot of MAC games. For the first time in awhile, I'm thinking that trips to the JAR are going to be fun again.1 point

They are kids and will need some time to adjust. Ali looked a little bewildered at times and I didn't like the way he ran up and down the Court, did not seem to be going full speed. But he is tall and athletic and will develop. Tribble played with good confidence. However, he WILL learn that the schoolyard stuff he is used to won't end well against a D1 high major team. He needs to pick his spots and show more BB intelligence. It just takes time.1 point

I thought Tribble looked good tonight. Ali made a dumb foul that cost them, but I think he made a dunk or a big play right before that. Reece and Williams are the standouts. Too bad we can sneak that Iowa guy on to the team this season.1 point

Keys to success: X and Reece the Beast stay healthy. Ali and Tribble mature. Sayles stays on the bench. FIRE AWAY. They did well against a superior team. That 5th place prediction may have been a bit premature.1 point

Nice showing by the Zips. No quit in that team. Very encouraging performance. At the end of the day, at that level, they just got outmanned, however, most importantly, they did not get out-efforted.1 point

Pretty pleased with the showing tonight. Many ticky tacky calls seemed to go WVU's way (as you'd expect). Would like to see the PG take a little better care of the ball, but that was cleaned up a bit in the 2nd half. We could've rolled over and let them steamroll us after the end of the first half, but the 2nd half was pretty respectable, especially considering some key calls that benefited the home team. We ended up beating them in the 2nd half. I don't see anything that makes me worry about conference play. Xeryius has filled that scoring hole left by Utomi's departure. (Utomi had a whopping 3 points in his debut for USC, FWIW). Reece is going to help tremendously on the inside this year. FT shooting was good. The freshman look like the know their role, it will be fun to watch them grow throughout the season. Go Zips!1 point

Old White haired ref is not on Zips side in second half. Thought the other two are giving us some calls that we didn't get in the first half.1 point

https://torontosun.com/sports/soccer/mls/toronto-fc/simmons-rag-tag-reds-come-together-to-challenge-for-mls-cup DeLeon was out of work, let go by D.C. United. Richie Laryea, a former first-round draft pick, was almost out of soccer, let go by Orlando City. Both now playing significant roles for the Eastern Conference champion Toronto FC. “They didn’t think I was good enough,” said Laryea of Orlando. “You had to take that. It’s a hard thing to accept. They didn’t believe in me and then I came here. When a team stops believing in you, you have to keep believing in yourself. “It’s been a challenge for me and Nick. The clubs we were with — we thought we were there for our careers. You think that way sometimes. You know one team. It’s all you know. It’s all you care about. And then they tell you they don’t want you. That’s heartbreaking.1 point

Camron Reece is such a welcomed addition to this team. I agree with someone else..reminds me of Tree. WVU is shooting pretty good, hitting contested shots. Need to hit our shots and cut down on the turnovers.1 point

Cheese looks like he belongs. X started OK but has disappeared. LCJ appears to be struggling.1 point

Yup. Ianello 2.0. No. No We wouldn't. We would at the least have two wins under Bowden, maybe 3; and we would have been far more competitive in the games that we lost. Welcome to the darkside my friend. We have taco-tuesdays and yuengling on tap. Don't hold your breath.1 point

Oh dear god...and so begins the "bye-year" discussion for Arth. (this is a joke...kinda...ironic maybe?) Hey, I might actually attend 2 whole games this year. Especially since the Kent game is FINALLY IN A REASONABLE MONTH! Agreed. Except I think it's hard for any of us to pick anyone other than the QB. Ramart didn't look to good last year (product of the offense?) and Neither did Nelson...but who has Arth brought in that could supplant either of them? It's mostly an easy go-to thing.1 point

I was curious what Malcolm Duvivier was up to these days. He's back up there in his home country of Canada playing ball. I thought he came in and did a fine job for US last year. http://www.halifaxhurricanes.ca/sports/mbkb/2018-19/bios/duvivier_malcolm_pi691 point

Already have one, thanks. Are you making your copy available to the general public? Surprised they are sending out the electronic document. We used to keep student assistants busy photocopying that kind of stuff to keep them busy and raise a little cash. Either they have a more generous attitude or way fewer student assistants.0 points
