Saw an old episode of Password (thanks Covid ?) where the clue was Ohio and the contestant said Akron. Odd they didn't pick Cleveland, Cincinnati, Columbus but at least the partner got it.
So if he picks us he would sit out 2020-21 and join Tribble as a Junior in 2021-22 as PG with Clarke as a Sophomore. I am fine with that but still need a big eligible to play this year.
From Jeff Goodman- Sacred Heart transfer Cameron Parker (9.9 ppg, 7.8 apg) told me his finalists are FIU, Hawaii , Portland State, Montana and Akron. Sophomore set NCAA single-game assists record with 24.
Is this the "sports bubble" bursting?
"The letter from the commissioners of the AAC, Mountain West, MAC, Sun Belt and Conference USA asked for alterations of NCAA bylaws in the wake of COVID-19 in order to save money."
I know Dailey is listed as a F on Akron's roster, as there are so few non-guards, lol. However, he was strictly in the 2-guard spot in Iowa City, and his game seems suited for it. But this is the #MACtion, so he seems perfectly suited to whichever wing spot Groce slots him into!
What a novel idea. Really. Truly innovative. I don't think any conference has done this yet. This will transcend the landscape of college basketball forever.
