  3. UK knocks off BGSU 1-0. Should be a good game Sunday. Hey and how come our clock still winds down instead of up?

  8. The only person on the floor not getting paid to play gets a double double! Where are all the paid players hiding? How can The Walk On be the second leading scorer AGAIN? BTW if you think this kid is not for real, that's 12 boards against a team that is a monster on the boards. Blocked shots are not posted yet, he had a few.

  9. If they can hang that well with Buffalo at Buffalo after playing a pretty miserable first half definitely not counting them out in Cleveland.

  10. Akron cuts it to 10. If nothing else, I like seeing them climb back into this game.

  14. There are so many players in the portal right now and so little scholarships available. I'm sure the staff is doing their due diligence and will use the majority of the 4-5 or whatever they may have on players they think can help the team out immediately. We are in the middle of a semester so there is really no a reason to rush it. Not like getting a commit now means a player will be on campus immediately and be able to participate in spring ball. At this point the earliest would be summer workouts/camp. Not to mention, just because we don't hear something doesn't mean nothing is happening. Our coverage blows.

  15. No time, been working on the team's defense and shooting. Also trying to get them to drive to the basket instead of settling for the long three ball. (LOL)

  16. This team does not have a player that can continually slash to the basket and beat his man other than LCJ. Dailey, Ali, Tribble, and anyone else on the bench cannot beat their defender and get to the hoop. Further, did anyone notice Reese on the court yesterday. Reese has some nice inside strong moves but we need to get him the ball. Freeman had a nice post move and scored. When we are not hitting from the outside or LCJ cannot score, we have what happened the last 2 games. Further, we cannot stop other teams from penetrating. When the 2 guys who are taking the most shots, Trimble and LCJ are a combined 9 for 33, you are not going to win many games. The only one who has continuously shot the ball well is Freeman. Why, because he is taking high percentage shots. Before the 3 point shot, my basketball coach always stressed that the goal of a B ball offense was to get as many layups as humanly possible. When you drive to the hoop, 3 things can happen, you make a layup, you get fouled or your shot gets block. (the coach didn't believe in missing layups) Anytime you can have a basketball play where 67% of the time you have a good outcome, that is a good play.

  17. It is a great OOC schedule. The NW game stands out to me. If that is a Saturday game, the weekend could set up really nicely for OU Alumni. That weekend the Cubs play a weekend series against their arch rival St. Louis at Wrigley and there is a Friday afternoon game. My guess is OU could pull off an alumni weekend in the greater Chicago area. If you have never been there, NW has a really cool, old...and I mean old, stadium. The luckiest woman in the world, Mrs. GP1, graduated from Miami. A few years ago, they played Notre Dame and had an alumni weekend in Chicago that included a Friday afternoon Cubs game. On Saturday, the group took a private train to South Bend for the game. It was a really neat thing to do.
