  3. Agreed. Besides, our Z is much cooler. As long as we don't use a Hammer & Sickle we'll be fine.

  4. WZIP did interviews with Enrique and Ali, one is obviously a little better than the other, but it is cool to hear both of their insights into the team. https://open.spotify.com/episode/6Nv79w9NonjPdWXORyTsqe?si=a227c4582ada490b

  5. What makes you say we came out on top? Toth had an impressive resume. Edit: Tibesar coaches TJ Watt at Wisconsin. Per Watt's Wikipedia... In July 2015, Watt was asked by head coach Paul Chryst to switch to a defensive position as a redshirt sophomore.[3] Badgers' outside linebackers coach Tim Tibesar recalled Watt's position change saying, "At that time, even though he was in his third fall at Wisconsin, it was kind of like having a freshman come in. You're trying to teach him for the first time how to play outside 'backer in our system." Per his Oregon State page... 6. Kenpom.com has had UB over inflated all year. They also underrated Kent and overrated OU. The predictions are mathematical on Kenpom.com and don't account for a hot hand or a cold steak. These teams have all had both.

  9. Agree. The MAC is really screwing up this tournament. 11am games? 5pm on Friday? They are still in covid panic mode it seems.

  12. This article is from a week ago (pre Ball Sack & CMU games) but I just now saw it. It's a good article where Groce addresses the team's chemistry (sans Trimble).

  13. For kicks, I compared the pre-season poll to the final standings. While the order is a little different, the top 5 teams are correct.

  16. Not to digress from the current topic of a bobkitty tantrum, but I had a slow afternoon at work so I did a brief (and very basic) statistical analysis for the MAC POTY candidates. I looked at the top 20 in these statistics: points, rebounds, assists, steals, and blocks. I used a progressive scale to award a point value based on the player's ranking in the MAC, i.e. 1st in a stat = 20 down to 20th in a category = 1. NR in a stat = 0. Below is the top 10. I find these rankings hard to argue, other than the fact that guys like Rollins and Sears have trailed off slightly in the late season. Also interesting that the only player not from a contending team is Plowden, whom I think is 34 year old at this point. Other Zips of note: Bandaogo 22nd with 20 points (tied for first in blocks with Enrique) Ali (16th in assists, 13th in points) 32nd with 13 points Castaneda (19th in assists) and Tribble (19th in steals) tied for 47th with 2 points

  17. KSUcks wins by single digits against NIU. They shot 41.7% from the floor, and 16.7% from 3. Should they ever slip up and not shoot lights out against the best in the MAC (I highlighted, I think earlier in this thread, their shooting differences against the top of the MAC vs the bottom), they'll get run out of the gym. Ohio lost to BG by 3. BobcatAttack is a real pick-me-up if you're having a down day. Many are looking towards next season already, and one post even says that last night's loss may have cost them the CBI. Yes, you read that correctly. The Athens Kitty Cats are worried about the CBI.

  18. Zips clock in at #10. We signed one HS 1st-Team D-1 All-Ohio kicker, and one FCS All-American punter. (IIRC)

  19. Did we fix our size deficiency (especially in the trenches)? Yes. Did we replace the top skills guys we lost? Yes. Is this coaching staff capable of out-coaching the opposing staffs, minimizing the skill/experience gap that's possibly left? Yes. 6-6. Minimum. Let's Go Zips.

  20. So much coverage in the Leaking Urinal of that Columbus team spring practices etc, Why would they bother covering the new staff here?
