  1. Why oh why do we have to wait until Our Leader decides to post non-con matches? There was an Instagram post with the non-con schedule, but it mysteriously disappeared the next day....cannot be found. Yet the knuckleheads that try to show "leadership" in Marketing 101 won't let us know who we're playing....but there's more! Now they want me, us, to renew our season tickets but they won't tell us who we're playing or when... What a GREAT DI experience! Way to go Zips Athletics....

  2. I’d expect he’d be a 2-way player to begin the season and split time between the G League and the Pacers. Pacers are pretty good, so it’ll be pretty shocking if he logs any appreciable minutes this upcoming season.

  3. This will be Moorhead’s most talented team since his arrival. In that sense there should be plenty of optimism. On the flip side, the three Power games early in the schedule make for a difficult setup to start the season. All the conference games are winnable.

  4. If we got UNLV to come to the JAR, that would be a huge get.

  5. At the very least we need to wait until January. That way there is a 12-15 game sample size for each team.

  6. You are correct. At least that's what happened with Emoni Bates last season. He played in the Summer League and spent most of the regular season with the Charge.

  7. Both Granger and Walker could end up being sneaky good pickups. They are boom or bust types, so why not take a swing and see what happens. Fox was most recently a JUCO and I assume would be on scholarship. He should compete for the backup center spot. Kumfert is probably a walk-on. I don’t think he played at St. Francis. If he did, it wasn’t much.

  8. Indiana Pacers Summer League Schedule July 12 vs Brooklyn, 8:00pm = NBA TV / ESPN+ July 14 vs Minnesota, 5:30pm = NBA TV / ESPN+ July 16 vs Phoenix, 4:00pm = ESPNU / ESPN+ July 18 vs Denver, 4:30pm = ESPN2 / ESPN+ I believe the start times are based off Eastern Time Zone. If someone can confirm that, much appreciated.

  9. Just took a look at the current roster. Two new names to keep an eye on: Ahmarian Granger: Former WR at Old Dominion. Part time starter last year, committed to James Madison this recruiting cycle, but never ended up there..possibly as a result of their coach getting poached to Indiania. Issiah Walker: looked like a big time prospect coming out of high school. Apparently spent time at both Florida, Miami, and JUCO. Had a lot of offers (and commitments) this most recent recruiting cycle, including to Colorado. Ultimately was supposed go to to Texas State, but ended up here. Apparently only a redishirt Jr, but seems like one we shouldn't get our hopes up about being here more than a year. Regardless, could be a real nice plug at one of the tackle positions for this season. Also noticed two more OL: Alex Fox from IUP (D2) and Jacob Kumfert from St Francis (PA). Those seem to be more walk on caliber based on their collegiate stats/initial prospect pedigree.

  10. Just the reaction I'd expect from that wonderful humble kid. Time to start planning our Indy road trip for Cavs at Pacers.

  11. I am curious about the “conversion” of experience to credit too and sometimes a bit cynical as well. My older son is one year into his U.S. Navy service, and he is looking ahead to see what he could do in college. He's a submariner and a sonar tech, so I'm not sure how UA or any university offering these credit-for-experience programs can award credit for the training he's had and the experience he will accumulate at sea. Certainly some majors lend themselves to this better than others. I just hope his plans aren’t to major in dance.
