  1. Any time I don't use my ticket for a game, I email Matt and tell him which game I want to swap it for, and then I have 2 tickets to the desired game. You can do it after the game has happened too, so you don't need to pre-plan it. If you miss a game, just tell him which future game you want to use it for.

  2. It’s 24-0 with 11 minutes left in the 2nd fellas. That’s an ass whooping so far, besides Finleys INT.

  3. I suspect there's a reason he's on his 4th school in his college career (while Finley is on his 3rd).

  4. No disrespect to Duquesne, but there is absolutely no reason this game should be this close. We are BAD, really bad.

  6. Up to 10 now. Honestly, it's too big a spread for me to feel comfortable now, so I guess I missed my chance. 😂

  7. Call Matt Heiligenberg in the ticket office or shoot him an email (mwh32@uakron.edu). He'll have your answers. He's the best.

  8. GAME DAY NOTES: Duquesne Offense: Tyler Riddell is the starting quarterback after previous stops at East Tennessee State and Gardner-Webb. He’s thrown for 604 yards with eight touchdowns against just one interception. The run game has been more of an afterthought, as the top two backs have combined for only 42 carries through three games. Barring injury, Joey Isabella looks like a lock for another all-conference season, already putting up 319 yards and three touchdowns on 22 receptions. No other receiver has more than seven catches. Up front, the offensive line has surrendered six sacks, though four of those came in one game against Pittsburgh. Left tackle Brian Beidatsch has stood out. Defense: Jack Dunkley has been a force off the edge, while Maine transfer linebacker Jabari Odoemenem has been one of the Dukes’ best players, leading the team with 20 tackles. The secondary hasn’t lived up to expectations so far, struggling at times both in coverage and in tackling. ST: Duquesne has rotated three different punters with mixed results. Kicker Matt Marcinko is 1-for-1 on field goals, with a long of 35 yards. Akron Notes: Through three games, right guard K. Davis and right tackle King have graded out as the top performers on offense, while linebacker Cooper holds the highest mark on defense. Cooper also leads the team in tackles. Defensive end Dall and defensive tackle Laventure have been credited with six pressures a piece. No one else has more than three. Dall also has three passes defended which is as much as anyone in the secondary. On Zips Weekly, Moorhead attributed the missed field goals to protection issues. My view on this game hasn’t really shifted since the preseason. Duquesne isn’t the same team they were a year ago, but we’ll still need to play well to win.

  10. Tyler Morck really played extremely well in the first half. He had a greaat pass to Stefan at 26.....and the GK had to knock Stefan's shot over the cross bar Tyler had a nice shot opportunity at 25... UConn is doing everything they can...to try to get a 2nd yellow card on Ashton Kamdem. I am sure that the coaches will spend time with Ashton at half time. As I have said in the past, Ashton Kamdem is the best left back in the Big East. Tremendous player.

  12. Duquesne beat OU a couple years ago. The seem to be a decent FCS team in 2025, playing #10 Lehigh pretty close last week. I hope the starters take the game seriously and build a nice lead that allows the guys further down the depth chart to get PT. But the Zips have a history of making FCS games much closer than they need to be.

  13. We have Joe for $650,000? And he's HC, OC and QB coach. We have $0 in NIL. Our staff pool is the lowest in D1. I can imagine, if Joe leaves or is fired at year's end, how bad a coach we will get for the sack of beans, buttons and bus tokens we offer. I work in Industrial Automation. It's impossible to beat your competition when you have half their distribution network, half their direct sales force, 1/4 their overall budget, 1/10 the Marketing budget, limit your outside sales force to generating business by phone and Linkedin messaging vs. getting on the road and meeting customers face-to-face, etc. etc. On one hand you don't want the University to go public with the shackles and anchors they've strapped on Joe. It would kill whatever miniscule recruiting sell-points we have left. On the other hand, staying quiet hangs Joe out to dry. 99% of the general public thinks we're funded just like anyone else. They only see wins and losses. On TV MacGyver can beat the bad guys with paper clips, duct tape and a AAA battery. In real life, that doesn't play out so well. I hope Joe has a good MAC season and sticks around another year or two. He's been dealt the mother of all losing hands and been asked to beat Phil Ivey.

  14. Trent Dilfer was a journeyman QB in the NFL. Eddie George I'm not certain is a Hall of Famer, but his career was certainly good enough that he's worthy of bare minimum being in the hall of very very good. He would probably already be in the HOF had the Titans beat the Rams in the Superbowl. He's that much on the fence IMO. He's also a hero in the state of Ohio. Trent Dilfer to my knowledge doesn't have any connection to UAB or the state of Alabama that would generate any excitement. I wouldn't even know of a candidate, like Eddie George, who would both generate buzz and who would actually want to coach at Akron. You have to remember BG and Colorado weren't Eddie's and Deion's first jobs. I guess a good place to look would be to see who is coaching at the FCS level that would generate the buzz you're looking for if that's the route you would want to go. I would also think you would need an experienced staff to make up for an inexperienced head coach. Guys like Deion or Eddie might know football, but they are new to navigating the GM side of college football. Experienced coaches are likely expensive. Once again any route you take you will need a serious upfront financial commitment to at least get the plan off the ground.

  15. Akron is certainly the school for a punter to be able to showcase their talent.
