This could’ve been prevented if Zipsnation members were on the fan council.

I understand most spring games are going by the wayside, but this whole thing has seemed like an absolute **** show. Kent State is doing it right and now this is supposed to be the answer? Just a few years ago they opened up the suites and had free food for everyone. How far things have fallen. I’m incredibly disappointed as I can only get up there twice a year and the spring game is one of those times. This is exactly how not to resonate with your fanbase.

No argument there. The hope is if the MAC does expand to a 22 game conference schedule those would be the games eliminated. Whether it plays out that way who knows.

Probably thought he was going to play in Athens, Greece instead of Ohio. Sad mistake.

People buy football season tickets?

The free food in the club seats was fantastic a couple years ago. I am always last minute on buying season tickets for football, this isn't really speeding up my decision

Apparently spring practice will be open to season ticket holders.

After the MAC's tournament performance, we don't need to concern ourselves with that possibility anymore.

We need to be at least able to play them on a neutral court. Mid-majors used to be able to build an at-large resumé by picking up 2-3 nice wins in a MTE. Those opportunities really aren't there anymore.

We're a mid-major whose ceiling is winning three games in Cleveland in early March (that also draws very very average crowds). Better to play as many local teams fans might actually care about that we can, even if we're "a level above them."

Groce has 8 players in the portal and lost 2 of his top 3 scorers to graduation. He has more NIL to play with there, but it is going to be a complete rebuild, just like Ford will have here.

Outside of a few years under Calhoun both programs have been fairly bad. Maybe an outlier decent season here or there. I'm not sure what the appeal is in scheduling either of them.

And they still can't get a home and home with YSU or CSU.

At this point, I expect, assume, and unreasonably believe that the 26-27 Zips will consist of 4 or 5 Concord transfers. Edit: Zips have gone from recruiting Mountaineers to poaching Mountain Lions

And in quite the contrast…there’s this down the road.

I don't see how any players could get poached, there is no transfer portal until after the season. So unless I am mistaken the rational of closing it to the public for fear of some other school poaching players is nonexistent.

Yeah, I’m on a different page than many of you. I hate seeing the top talent from our conference get lured away. I want to win the MAC at its strongest.

That we're getting embarrassed in every way by Kent State is certainly something. But we are definitely getting embarrassed in every way by Kent State right now.
