  1. D'Antonio appears to have Marshall trending in the right direction so that is 1 team that can improve our OOC schedule moving forward. I'd like to see 2 more quality home and homes even if that means we have to sacrifice a home game per year to achieve it. Perhaps we can use that money we save buying fewer games to pay more for teams like Georgia Southern to help compliment the home slate. There is value in our type of scheduling if you are a Miami or Bowling Green and just need wins like we did in the early 2000s to build support for the program. We've moved past that and need to focus on scheduling more teams that better prepare us for March.
  2. Even with that OOC schedule it was pretty evident given their 12 seed that they wouldn't have made the tournament had they not won their conference tournament. Kind of shows the uphill battle facing the Zips and other mid-majors.
  3. I watched the American East championship game and Vermont has to be the worst D1 gym I've ever seen.
  4. A shame with a nice, new arena like that they still only averaged 2,327 or roughly 33% of the capacity. Serves as a reminder a new arena doesn't guarantee swarms of new people will attend games.
  5. This year the double bye would have been a mess with 4 teams tied for 2nd place.
  6. These are some of the examples of snubs we had in the early 2000s, but it also illustrates have far we've fallen as a conference. We no longer produce NBA players. Ball State alone beat a 1 seed and a 8 seed in the same season. This year arguably our best OOC win as a conference as a whole was Ohio knocking off NIT 6th seed GT. It just seems so many programs like Miami, Ball State, and Bowling Green who once invested in their basketball program quit caring
  7. I agree, I'd say it's quite the opposite. Sometimes he just tries to do too much instead of taking what the defense gives him. You can question the effort of some players at the time, but even when Kwan has a bad game it's not because he didn't give forth the effort.
  8. Yes, he must need better sources.
  9. Kwan 35 points away from 1,000. Would certainly require at least 1 more Zips win.
  10. TV is saying we'll be playing Monday at Arlington at 8PM. The 1, 2, and 3 seeds in our region have all lost.
  11. If you click on his tweet you'll see he said UT-Arl arena is under renovation. The TV broadcasters however said winner of BYU-UTA hosts Akron. We'll find out whose right if this score holds.
  12. Both these teams like to push the ball. Already 41-38 with 7 minutes left in 1st half.
  13. Most single season wins in Zips history.
  14. come on just 1 stop away
  15. Make these for the love of God.
  16. He has 4 fouls.
  17. Houston 10-10 from the line. Must be nice having a team that can make their free throws.
  18. Allowing fast breaks off made buckets. Come on guys get back on D.
  19. Antino only one playing D.
  20. We take a lot of poor shots. Got to move it around and get good looks. No need to take contested 17 footers or 26 foot 3's.
  21. Quit with the deep 3's
  22. I watched the 1st half of that game before going to bed. Watching that game you could tell CSUB came out treating it like it was the most important game of their season. Cal players were treating it like it was their last class before spring break. It translated into a CSUB 45-19 lead going into halftime. It appears Cal stepped up their play in the 2nd half, but that margin was too much to overcome. Zips need to come out with that same energy. The NIT isn't the NCAAT, but it's still a huge upgrade over the CBI or CIT. Don't take the opportunity for granted.
