  1. Ahh...oh for the days of doubleheaders and bobbleheads. And Arbys coupons
  2. Ok. I thought BG game was in Athens but espn isn't always right. They still have the Zips playing BG on Saturday.
  3. Conveniently missed 2 away games at BG and WMU then gets 4 of last 5 at home.
  4. excellent post. Look at the MAC tourney rules posted on their website or I linked in the mac tourney opinion thread. a team could be dropped and WMU replace them if it's outside 48 hours. If within 48 hours opponent gets a bye.
  5. https://getsomemaction.com/news/2021/2/23/mens-basketball-seeding-aq-policy.aspx MAC tourney rules. Clear as mud.
  6. 3 inconsequential and blow out games on the MAC agenda today: Miami at Kalamazoo Hurons head to Hocking Hills And Keno Davis (who still has 3 years on his contract) leads the Chippewas (who just lost by 50 to Miami) into Niagara Falls to take on the Bulls. They would have more success going over the Falls in a barrell.
  7. They were pretty bad when Zips played them in Cayman Islands. Zips got an extra game at Rocket Mortgage out of this. Hope they can draw from that.
  8. It's got to be brutal on Danny Pippen and his bad knees. Ironically, I think Ball Stare has a luxury double decker travel bus which they haven't had to use for a month or so.
  9. especially, when the home team has had time to rest and the away team is grinding out with long bus rides.
  10. Well Ball Stare hasn't had an away game in over a month and didn't have a game on Sunday against Western Michigan which one can say helped them out. Kent was at Western, home to Eastern, and on the road to Muncie in the last week.
  11. True Ball Stare fashion...game getting ugly as PCCC tries the press.
  12. I think CBS or Espn picked it up for Friday. Thanks for the heads up on PCCC
  13. wow. some great comments and observations (apart from Clark). Groce said the team was ...ugh...using winning as a deodorant. I guess Riak served the same purpose.
  14. Zips seem to play better when they are on national TV (as opposed to a former coach's teams), so I look for a big bounce back Friday against BG. But, then again, I'm always wrong.
  15. One of the best posts I've ever read on here. I noticed as well that the "bench mob" is no longer a mob as much as they are out of state guests. I think a good win against BG on Friday will put this in the rear window.
  16. That lasted like a minute
  17. We had it coming from OU. Like that song from Chicago. We (me) rip them on here and last years game at OU went down to the end and Kittens made quite a comeback. Then we blasted them at home on national TV after being behind by a lot at half. Then the earlier game up here. Boals got his first win on Groce in an empty convo.
  18. Two of the Zips last 3 regular season opponents are playing now. One is up by 40 at halftime. The other is up by 23.
  19. You make a good point. Just a mess of a season and you just can't tell who gets advantage. At first blush, Toledo benefits from playing a full season but are their players tired or injured. OU may have gotten a beneficial vacation heading into the final few weeks. Akron stuck in the middle. Running all over.
  20. Good comment. I think its a mental drain more than physical. NIU got Zips after a long break and were motivated. And they have 3 more tough games ahead.
  21. Just like 2019 OU game at the JAR. Right when the Zips crashed at end of season and played themselves into a quarter final game with top 20 Canada.
  22. Uh...I'm sure Kent will finish better than Zips who are flailing.
  23. Sorry, Ravenna A &M
  24. Yeah. That school just outside Brimfield
  25. Can't win them all. Kent State and Toledo your top 2 seeds. Pinky at least lost to two of the better teams...not sure what the Zips count for at this point.
