  1. I didn't copy the link from the post but I saw on Twitter earlier that Enrique has made the opening night roster for the T-Wolves as one of their 3 two-way players. And he's wearing the #25 jersey.
  2. Akron remains unranked in the Top Drawer poll, while coming in at #25 in the College Soccer News poll. https://www.topdrawersoccer.com/college-soccer-national-rankings/men https://collegesoccernews.com/college-soccer-news-mens-week-9-top-25-coaches-poll-stanford-and-portland-hold-at-1-and-2-duke-falls-and-washington-climbs/
  3. Zips are favored by 1.5 on Draft Kings. Seems like a trap to me, I'm not taking it. Can't imagine us winning a conference road game that isn't against Kent.
  4. I don't know how long the MAC deal with espn is, but it's still active for this football season and I don't know why it would end during the middle of the academic year (usually the timetable used in college deals). I think the ESPN+ designation will be made available once the game times are announced which should be in the next week or two, other than those that end up being TV wildcard games.
  5. The committee released their current Top 16 just now (for matches through Tuesday). Zips are at #15. https://www.facebook.com/share/p/19Ei31G2mZ/
  6. Well, the good news is: the draw keeps control of the Midwest division in our hands. If we win the last 3 matches, we win the division.
  7. They just guessed. Based on the frames shown on the broadcast, you could see he was on leading up to the initial shot but off by the time the ball fell to him. Couldn't tell if he was off when the initial shot was taken, so I don't know how you can overturn it based on that.
  8. At least it was built with this purpose in mind so the field is (or appears to be) full width. Unlike some of the USL teams (or NYCFC) who squeeze a field into an area that is obviously too small.
  9. Creighton vs Villanova is at 3 pm today...A Creighton win would be better for the Zips RPI but a Creighton loss/draw would be better for the Zips division title hopes. 🤔
  10. By the way, the tournament projection is now available on the RPI Update site. Akron is currently at #16 which is 2nd best in the Big East (Georgetown is #14). The cut line for at large is currently #40.
  11. Akron and Seton Hall are both in the receiving votes section of this week's coaches poll... Akron at #27, Seton Hall at #29. https://unitedsoccercoaches.org/rankings/college-rankings/ncaa-di-men/
  12. Akron has added an exhibition game at Youngstown State on October 29. https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1AqJdnhuDp/
  13. In the RPI (as of 10/13 at 9 AM), Akron is #18 and Seton Hall is #20. https://rpiupdatemenssoccer.blogspot.com/search/label/RPI Rank?m=1
  14. Neither Akron or this week's opponent, Seton Hall, are ranked in the Top Drawer Soccer poll. Akron is ranked at #23 in this week's College Soccer News poll, while Seton Hall is receiving votes. https://www.topdrawersoccer.com/college-soccer-national-rankings/men https://collegesoccernews.com/college-soccer-news-mens-week-8-top-25-coaches-poll-stanford-becomes-5th-team-to-take-1-princeton-joins-top-10/
  15. As I said, expect goals in this match. 🤣
  16. Akron is in the receiving votes section of this week's coaches poll. Strangely, Cornell has fallen out of the receiving votes section and is not listed at all despite two convincing wins last week. 🤷‍♂️ https://unitedsoccercoaches.org/rankings/college-rankings/ncaa-di-men/
  17. Darlington is calling it a career after this season. One of the most decorated MLS careers of all-time. https://x.com/tombogert/status/1975339814569578979?t=Craoy3wgEtF467OFkkPw0w&s=19
  18. Cornell comes in with a record of 7-1 and they've outscored their opponents 24-2 on the season. They've also scored 11 goals in just their last two matches. Gonna be a tough road match and we'll likely need multiple goals to win it.
  19. Perhaps not surprisingly, Akron is out of the Top Drawer poll. Meanwhile, tomorrow's opponent Cornell is #13. https://www.topdrawersoccer.com/college-soccer-national-rankings/men In the College Soccer News poll, Akron is #22 and Cornell is #19. https://collegesoccernews.com/college-soccer-news-mens-week-7-top-25-coaches-poll-vermont-claims-1-bryant-climbs-into-top-5-and-virginia-and-duke-jump-into-top-10/
  20. Hey, as long as he makes the top 15 or so, that should get him some NBA playing time again this year. Hopefully more than last year!
  21. Thanks for confirming! Last year, the two division winners were #1 and #2 automatically and then the remaining were seeded regardless of division. I would think it would be that way again but don't know.
  22. Last year, on the RPI Update site, there was a tournament projection page. Any idea when that page will be added for this year?
  23. Okay, thank you. I did see him go into the blue tent after his last play against Duquesne but I didn't think it looked that serious that he'd miss the next game. But I'm no doctor!
  24. Did we ever find out for sure if Finley was injured or if there was some other reason he didn't play last week?
  25. I don't know how to share it here because it was an IG story not a post, but I saw Enrique has the #25 jersey for the T-Wolves!
