  1. Cornell comes in with a record of 7-1 and they've outscored their opponents 24-2 on the season. They've also scored 11 goals in just their last two matches. Gonna be a tough road match and we'll likely need multiple goals to win it.
  2. Perhaps not surprisingly, Akron is out of the Top Drawer poll. Meanwhile, tomorrow's opponent Cornell is #13. https://www.topdrawersoccer.com/college-soccer-national-rankings/men In the College Soccer News poll, Akron is #22 and Cornell is #19. https://collegesoccernews.com/college-soccer-news-mens-week-7-top-25-coaches-poll-vermont-claims-1-bryant-climbs-into-top-5-and-virginia-and-duke-jump-into-top-10/
  3. Hey, as long as he makes the top 15 or so, that should get him some NBA playing time again this year. Hopefully more than last year!
  4. Thanks for confirming! Last year, the two division winners were #1 and #2 automatically and then the remaining were seeded regardless of division. I would think it would be that way again but don't know.
  5. Last year, on the RPI Update site, there was a tournament projection page. Any idea when that page will be added for this year?
  6. Okay, thank you. I did see him go into the blue tent after his last play against Duquesne but I didn't think it looked that serious that he'd miss the next game. But I'm no doctor!
  7. Did we ever find out for sure if Finley was injured or if there was some other reason he didn't play last week?
  8. I don't know how to share it here because it was an IG story not a post, but I saw Enrique has the #25 jersey for the T-Wolves!
  9. Akron back into the coaches top 25 poll at #19 this week. Next week's opponent Cornell is essentially #27 as they're 2nd in the receiving votes section. https://unitedsoccercoaches.org/rankings/college-rankings/ncaa-di-men/
  10. Akron at #16 in the College Soccer News poll, down from #12 last week despite the 2-0 week. Also, right behind Saint Louis who we beat 3-0. 🤦‍♂️ https://collegesoccernews.com/college-soccer-news-mens-soccer-week-6-top-25-coaches-poll-high-point-and-west-virginia-burst-into-the-top-10/
  11. Akron at #20 in the Top Drawer Soccer poll, up from #23 last week. I expected to be higher considering the win over Saint Louis. https://www.topdrawersoccer.com/college-soccer-national-rankings/men
  12. Pretty lackluster after the first 10 minutes or so. Gotta find one in the 2nd half. Can't start conference play with 2 matches without a win!
  13. This field makes for an absolutely horrendous viewing experience. But the Zips are on the front foot early!
  14. Bumping up my own reply since no one answered. 😂 I don't see any info about a Quarterfinal anywhere. It appears that only 4 make the tournament this year?
  15. I didn't see the broadcast because I was at the match but they definitely appeared to have more equipment than normal, or at least it was more noticeable. They had cords running from outside the stadium to behind the nets for field mics, as well as a fixed camera and camera man on field at midfield. And a camera in a lift outside of the stadium, behind the hill. But all of that doesn't necessarily translate to a better broadcast than usual.
  16. This is the package I have but I altered it a little, which the ticket office was very helpful with. I switched football to GA and soccer to reserved. It only ended up being like $15 more with those changes.
  17. High Point 2, WVU 2 Bryant 4, UConn 1 Evansville 2, Butler 1 Princeton 3, Seton Hall 1 Penn 3, Villanova 0 Providence 1, Brown 1 Xavier 2, NKU 1 Georgetown 5, George Mason 2 Marquette 3, Milwaukee 2
  18. Great match tonight from the Zips! When we dominate a top-10 team like that, I wonder if the other team is overrated or were underrated. I think we're underrated, obviously. Also, great to see former Zip and current Crew goalkeeper, Evan Bush in attendance. Along with fellow Crew goalkeeper and USMNT goalkeeper, Patrick Schulte.
  19. Akron is not ranked (or receiving votes) in this week's coaches poll. Meanwhile, tonight's opponent (Saint Louis) is ranked #8. https://unitedsoccercoaches.org/rankings/college-rankings/ncaa-di-men/
  20. I think we're still pretty early in the season and the polls will have a lot of volatility. But I do agree that it doesn't make a lot of sense. 😂
  21. Not sure which thread to put this in, but does anyone know if the Big East tournament is 4 teams or 8 teams this year? It looks to me like it's only 4 teams, but it's been 8 in past years.
  22. Zips are #12 in the College Soccer News poll this week. While Saint Louis is #10. https://collegesoccernews.com/college-soccer-news-mens-soccer-week-5-top-25-coaches-poll-michigan-makes-a-big-jump-into-the-top-10-and-portland-continues-to-rise/
  23. Zips come in at #23 in this week's Top Drawer poll. Saint Louis is at #21. https://www.topdrawersoccer.com/college-soccer-national-rankings/men
  24. Up to 10 now. Honestly, it's too big a spread for me to feel comfortable now, so I guess I missed my chance. 😂
  25. Any time I don't use my ticket for a game, I email Matt and tell him which game I want to swap it for, and then I have 2 tickets to the desired game. You can do it after the game has happened too, so you don't need to pre-plan it. If you miss a game, just tell him which future game you want to use it for.
