  1. The spread was 15.5 or 16.5 depending on when you got it, so we definitely went from covering to not covering with all of the turnovers at the end. It could appear suspicious if you look at it that way, but I think if you were fixing a game, you wouldn't wait until the end and depend on the other team pressing you.
  2. I watched it tonight on ESPN+ for about an hour and it did appear like the crowd was having a great time.
  3. Zips favored by 3.5 with a O/U of 164.5
  4. Are you implying that one of the richest athletes in the country, who doesn't donate any money to his hometown college, doesn't care about the college? Hard to believe! 🤣
  5. Speaking of Toledo, they seem to have a nice arena. But again, I've never been there. Looks nice on TV though.
  6. The only MAC arena I've been to other than the JAR is Kent. Both are terrible. From what I can tell on TV, most of the arenas in the MAC are terrible other than BG (although I think it's too small). They all seem old or way too big. EDIT: This excludes UMass, as I forgot they are in the MAC and haven't seen it as much on TV to get a good look.
  7. I forgot to mention it at the time and maybe just thought it wasn't important but it seems to fit in this thread. On a recent Board of Trustees meeting that I watched part of, Goodrich stated that this is the last year of our Nike deal and he hinted we would be signing with someone else. He said something along the lines of "Nike doesn't value us as much as we value ourselves". I would like to go back to Adidas but I'm thinking someone like Under Armour may be more likely. As they have fewer schools in their portfolio and we could be a higher priority.
  8. Does signing with a MLS Next Pro team give him a better path to the MLS than signing with USL? I assume so but I know some Next Pro players are on contracts specific to that level while others are on MLS contracts and are there to get playing time.
  9. Everything I've seen online points towards the new arena being very unpopular with alumni. It will be interesting to see how the vote goes.
  10. Hell yeah. I've bought several of his cards on ebay just as keepsakes to remember one of the great Zips.
  11. It seems quite possibly like a loss. But then you gotta remember that we're 37-2 (i think) in our last 39 MAC games if you include MAC tournament games. (This dates back to the consecutive losses to EMU and WMU going into the 2024 MAC Tournament.) So we'll probably win easily. 😅
  12. Technically, if both teams finish with one loss, it would be regular season co-champions but Miami would get the #1 seed.
  13. I don't think anyone is officially eliminated yet but some teams are basically done, especially EMU as they are the only team with 12 losses so far. They would need to win their last two games and have Buffalo lose their last three. The two teams do still play each other which helps EMU slightly.
  14. I heard that they don't get nearly as much gear from Nike as they did from Adidas and that's why they haven't had it the last few years. Simply not much surplus to be sold.
  15. I would think it may not be happening. Or they could just be waiting until after basketball is over when there's less going on in the Athletics department.
  16. It wouldn't appear so. I don't know that the spread would change more than a couple points if he played but I feel like the O/U would be a little higher.
  17. Akron favored by 15.5 with O/U of 157.5
  18. Is it distributed evenly among the conference or does the team that actually plays get a higher share?
  19. Yeah, I'd prefer to play Buffalo in the 1st round. Even though UMass seems to find ways to lose when they shouldn't. Generally that's bad coaching. 🤷‍♂️
  20. Just a couple of Zips holding down the right side.
  21. Now they're going to overtime so it's even better.
  22. Malik and Richie both starting for Toronto in the season opener. Also, in a separate match, Shookalook is on the bench for Chicago after signing his MLS contract during the winter.
  23. I just want to avoid UMass in the first round so they can either move into 6th or fall down to 8th. Either is fine with me.
  24. I think it would be helping individual players improve their technical ability. According to Google AI, this is the description... An individual development coach in soccer is a specialized staff member dedicated to creating and executing customized improvement plans for players at various levels, from youth academies to professional first teams. They bridge the gap between team-wide tactical goals and a player's personal needs, focusing on technical skills, decision-making, and psychological growth. By analyzing data, video, and performance, they provide targeted mentorship to ensure players thrive within the team's broader system.
  25. 30 in my wish world, but fair enough.
