The semi-final games will be re-broadcast on ESPN2 at 11:00 am Saturday.I told my father-in-law to watch from about 12:45-1PM and run his Saturday errands the rest of the time. He couldn't find The U on Time Warner on the far west side of Cleveland.Did they show the complete game this morning on the replay or did they cut away? I went to watch the ending again and they had already switched over to a football game. I think it was before the 2.5 hours or so that the actual game took.

I saw lots of akron fans in the first game.Good job.

Thrilling game if you like defense, but I have to admit I was struggling the final 15 minutes of regulation. That's frustrating being a man up and not being able to get shots off. The PK's system is more of a guessing game than a skills game. It seems like you could fake your kick just to see which way the goalie dives and then tap it in the other side. Fortunately, UNC botched a PK and we didn't...I'm sure that guy is feeling really bad.

Oh man, 2.5 hours of non-scoring, then it comes down to 1 missed PK by UNC...but we'll take it !!

The first game was over by 7:20 but it takes a little while to empty out all that ACC riff-raff and let in the good people of Akron

Well, the field looks good, on TV at least, and the Wake/VA players don't seem too bothered by the cold. Thankfully it's not precipitating. Looks like it will be about 29 degrees to start game 2. Futbol weather !

Looks like you got your wish...fryging cold (24 wind chill). I don't know how much of an advantage it will be if our guys are frozen too. Of course, as much as they run it will warm them up but the goalies...not so much.

If he was coming to Akron to enter the accelerated MD program w/NEOUCOM, it was never meant to be (would ncaa rules even allow him to play for us if he was attending a consortium school?) If he wants to play football and go to med school he'll have to get an undergrad sciences degree first, which he can do at a so-called bigger-name school (but Indiana?!) I think he'll miss home and Ohio once he's gone and roo his decision.

NCAA interactive bracket has the Zips at 7:30 Friday.It also says the 7:30 game will be on ESPNU but not ESPN2 (until the replay on Sat. morning). Only the Wake/VA game will be live on the deuce.

I'd rather use that 1 year roster spot to be developing someone who's going to stick with the program for 4-5 years. Maybe an FCS would take him for a year.
