I can't believe you guys are seeing the actual video. If the MAC is going to put a video out for each game get it right otherwise just don't do it. I haven't seen a worse video stream than the crap on the MAC site. Why do something so half assed

I actually liked hearing Thunderstruck but found it funny that the 21 year old song was recorded prior to the birth of the majority of the team.

Diggs talking smack with the bench is one thing, but he does an awful lot of stepping to guys and looking like he is wanting a fight.

I have posted this observation on here before but nobody seemed to care. This team is as talented a team as we've seen, but they are immature to a fault. When the suspensions came earlier this year my Dad's first question to me was "Has Keith Dambrodt finally thrown in the towell and decided he needed to get the players they normally have at Can't?". Quincy's attitude is consistent and he has done this since he got here...nobody has punished him for it so why should he change? Zeke refuses to learn to play with in the confines of what the refs are calling and gets mad. I love the dude but he has one way of playing and if they are calling theg game differently he suffers because he doesn't adjust. The MAC Finals last year were ref'ed in his style and he was great....it just doesn't happen often enough. This lack of maturity was also discussed in a previous thread about twitter. The consensus on this board was "they're kids and you old guys just don't understand". The way you act on social networking sights is a gateway to how others will see you. The majority of these kids are going to look for jobs in the real world one day and their online history will have an opportunity to come back and bite them. The bigger point being they represent the University every where they go and everything do and should consider this when on sites like Twitter or FB or whatever. This should be an emphasis for the coaches. I hope the team reads the article and realizes people are watching their immaturity. They should be embarassed for their actions at times.

Generally speaking my guess would be he would be coming here in some sort of alumni/development capacity and in that regard you kill what you eat. If he can bring in more money to the University than he is being paid out then it is a good bet. If he is being brought to this University to serve in some capacity with an ultimate goal of getting us out of the MAC once again his ability to succeed will depend on how much longer we are in the MAC. Administrative jobs (although nothing to sneeze at) are significantly less compensation wise than head coaching jobs. It all comes down to his impact versus his salary and whether it is a good trade. If this man get can get us out of this awful conference and help get a basketball arena built then hire him now. No AD has seemed to be able to make that magic happen.

I'm guessing 2,679 will be in attendance. This is definitely one of those games that scares me -- one where Akron teams traditioanlly come out flat. I'm hoping this team can get away from that consistent behavior by Zips teams of the past and route all these games agains the West to set up a nice meeting with Oral Roberts.

I can't imagine it coming back. The Akron/Cleveland thing is so stupid it makes me sick.

Seems to me that 10 more well placed points and the Zips could be playing in the best match-up. Four against Valpo and CSU and two more against VCU(corrected). I'm hopeful next year I am not typing a similar statement. On the flip side I think we need to beat ORU soundly to prove we are a better team than the rest of the country thinks we are.

I don't know if we should be upset with any pairing. We can always hope for the best but this team lost some games they should have won earlier in this year while other teams were winning those games. This is the kind of stuff that has lead to us still being ranked below two teams we've beaten in the Mid Major Top 25. Ultimatley I would much rather see a more name team with a significationly worse RPI than a Loyola which offers little in the way of a name. With that being said Joe Akron could care less about Iona too.

Definitely want Cleveland State to stay on the schedule. I'd also love to see a series with Butler....this has been a down year for Butler but they are consistent and i want to see the Zips in Hinkle Fieldhouse. I am always happy to see Pitt on the schedule and a trip to Columbus next year would be perfect. Dayton and Cincinnati would be fun too. There are so many drivable excellent basketball teams and I would be happy to have most of them.

Great article....really cool to see Jimmal still playing ball in Europe. Not a bad career he has made out of basketball. I have to imagine there were a few other players who could have continue to play elsewhere but chose to hang it up. It would be really sweet to see the MAC Office do a similar article for each sport across the conference. I think it would be decent recruiting material for the conference.

If you don't like what people are tweating I agree -- unfollow. This does not mean however that one would want to see a college student or anyone for that matter tweat differently and expect more of a division 1 athlete than Joe Akron.

Not because I care about these rankings, but because I think this team needs to make some statements....I would love to seem them absolutely blow out every team from the West.

Since there has very rarely been a Zips call in show that garnered much response it would be really nice to have some "fan" input into the questions. Unfortunately I don't have STO and haven't been able to catch the show as of yet, but I know I've always wanted to have a true call in show after basketball and football games. A show that plays out each week could accept questions via e-mail and sort through the questions. Build a Subway question of the week or some other sponsor. Some of the folks on this board have good thoughts, ideas and questions -- it would be great to have the opportunity.

I think Q feels left out when others are getting "T'd" up and he has to join the fun. Always talking crap and looking like he wants to start a fight...how many times does he do this before he learns?

The positive of George just getting assigned to his job and Terry coming on board is there can start out on the right foot. George should make sure Terry knows he will report the news to the best of his ability, but wants to be the inside man he comes to with information. He should try to development that inside scoop piece to keep us all informed. I look forward to the day I read an article from George where he is telling us the die hards don't know. I do appreciate the article though and am fully aware for the bulk of the ABJ/Ohio.com readers this was all new news.

You can show me measurements all day long....I've sat in the seats and don't see the problem. Doesn't the proof actually come from sitting in the seats and watching games?

We hear Caleb Porter over and over again say we are going to play our game. He talks about forcing the other team to try to beat us at our game. It doesn't seem we do that in basketball. KD seems to adjust his game to how the opponent has decided to play Akron. Watching Zeke chase a 7 footer out around the three point line seems to make absolutely no sense to me, but KD has forgotten more basketball than I've ever learned. I'd love to see this question posed to him on Monday to hear what he says about it.
