Pacers are third in the East with Enrique making contributions. Of course that is mostly a function of being in the Eastern conference where there are only two teams above .500. If the Pacers were in the west they would be in 12th place. 😊

Wow, they finished 11-1-6 and ended up at the MVC fourth seed. Thanks for mucking with our RPI 😉, but they'll still make the NCAA tourney.

I had also come up with the motto of the University of Akron Zips - We have everything covered from A to Z. They can have that one. 😊

I know it's kind of a tired topic with the logo, but this one is indeed my favorite. I also liked the A-roo but it wasn't really instantly recognizable as a kangaroo. Looked a bit too much like a donkey. But the Z is so unique, there are only two colleges in the country that start with a Z and I don't think anybody would confuse us with Zane(sville) community college nor Zaytuna college. There are over 100 institutions of higher learning that begin with A, and more than a dozen Division 1 football teams. For a logo you want something that is instantly identifiable, connected and has some uniqueness to it. I thought the Z was fantastic. I hate the rationale of going back to an A to be more connected with the community. I think that was a load of crap. Long live the Z!

Glad they won the opener since this was pretty depressing in the notes - The victory marked Akron's first in league tournament play since besting Western Michigan, 3-0, in the finals of the 2018 Mid-American Conference Tournament.

And oddly Tristen Newton, the Connecticut guard who was drafted immediately after Enrique, has not shown up in the box score at all (even DNP - coaches decision) for a number of games, even though he is still listed as being on the Pacers roster. Maybe injured? They don't play the same position but Enrique has more minutes than Newton and Johnny Furphy, the Pacers first round pick.

He has gotten in, only four minutes but no negative plays, with a steal and a +3.

Ugly 4th quarter collapse. Brown and Vejsicky had pretty good games but if you take them out of the shooting equation, the rest of the team shot only 27%. That isn't going to get it done. And Binghamton had nearly as many offensive rebounds as the Zips had defensive rebounds.

They need to cut down on their turnovers and stop giving up so many critical offensive rebounds or this one will not go their way.

That goaltending call was the turning point of the game. Don't know how that wasn't overturned. Didn't hit the rim, wasn't over the cylinder, wasn't on its way down and obviously didn't hit the backboard until it was blocked. Terrible, terrible call.

There was no F#@$$ing way that was a goaltend.
