    For more positive news should Notre Dame win the National Championship our claim to the mythical National Championship is remarkably short. Akron > Toledo > Northern Illinois > Notre Dame. If Texas wins we just have to add in Georgia and Texas. 😊

    Apparently Arkansas St failed to notice they had inserted a backup QB instead of their punter.

    NIU leaves the MAC with a 28-20 victory in 2OT over Fresno State in the Potato Bowl. Fresno kicker missed three field goals including a 35 yarder as time expired.

    Awesome - well deserved. Rooting for our third Hermann winner. Even though it shouldn't always go to the leading goal scorer when that goal scorer is way out in front of everyone else...

    Jerry Seinfeld once had a joke about all the movement in the NFL and he said basically at this point we're just rooting for laundry. I think college football has arrived at that same point.

    Eastern Michigan will never win a title until they get rid of that awful gray turf. Every time I see a game from there I wonder what happened to my TV. And Kent will never win one until they stop being Kent.

    As they say don't hate the player, hate the game. They didn't create this mess, but, like just about everyone else, they're trying to take their best advantage of it. I don't feel much loyalty to college football any more. I would not feel like my life was impacted at all if it disappeared.

    All four P4 championship games had a newcomer to their conference in their Championship game. Lots of tradition. 🤣

    Ohio about to win their first MAC Championship in forever. And the about to be Big XII champion was picked to finish dead last in their conference.

    I was at a trivia event tonight when the category of four-letter words that start with Z came up. The question was the University of Akron's sports teams have this nickname. I got it (but several other teams did not). 🤣

    I've heard of both of these schools obviously, Oklahoma vs Georgia Tech who were playing in ESPN+, but I honestly had to think for a second to see if this was an early conference game.
