He did have zero minutes but also zero points. Because he took the free throws for a player who was ejected (Nembhard), he actually gets credit for the points. Weird.

After rewatching the final, I know you can say this about a lot of players who play well, But the Zips do not win that game without Amani Lyles. He was so clutch in so many ways, he must have been watching Enrique because 14 rebounds in 26 minutes is dog work. Six of them were offensive rebounds, which is the same number as the rest of the team had and only one less than Miami had. Plus obviously his clutch rebound at the end with that fantastic outlet pass. But he was also the guy boxing out Miami when Nate Johnson made his game tying shot near the end. Just an amazing game for him for somebody you just never thought was going to be that kind of a contributor last year. The Cavs had the Block, the 3 and the D, the Zips had the D, the Outlet and the Euro. 😊

I would just like to see it get to the discovery phase so they can release all the transcripts of all the discussions that were had.

All we're lacking is a serviceable backup big. 😉

Yes but he wasn't "in the room" when North Carolina was selected because there's no way there could be any back room dealings or any deals made without him there. Pisses me off that Boise State beat St. Mary's Clemson and San Diego State, and were left out while North Carolina with exactly one quad 1 win was included.

In Boise State who most certainly got screwed out of NCAA tournament birth is nowhere to be seen in the NIT. Pretty sure they told him to go F themselves.

Odds are very high Zips will be a 13, if very lucky a 12. Both those play at the same sites, Providence, Denver and Seattle (x2).

Watched the Toledo press conference after the game. You almost feel bad for Kowalchoke. He seems beat down and they've been one of the best teams in the conference the last few years.

Only good thing is he is now 17 years closer to death. 🤣

I tried to get a Let's Go Zips chant started during the second game. 🤣

Miami and Kent outscored Akron by 11 in the first half - combined. No way either of these teams should be able to stay with Akron.

We stayed for the second game - my wife asked me who we should root for. I said I wanted them both to lose. She said fine, one today and one tomorrow. 🤣

So far Tod and his strategy of sucking during the regular season to not lose in the tournament is paying off. Let's see if we can change that for him. 😉

I think Shelbee Brown deserves some recognition for making all-MAC third team on what ended up being a pretty horrific team.
