I know many of you don't care about "stars" or ratings but I do 😉 247 MAC Recruiting We are not rated last in the MAC anymore We have the highest average player rating. If you were to factor in the transfer players we have brought in I am guessing we would be near the top. We also have the highest rated incoming player in Jacques-Louis (.876). Imagine what this staff will do with a full year under their belts and wind at our backs!!!!!

This pic of one of our commits got me thinking.....what about starting a campaign within the community to pick the primary logo for UA's sports team. In this pic Coach JoMo has script, Dijon has Z, the other coach has the FTRoo 😠. Through the media, present some awesome logos, let the community create some too. If someone creates the winner, give them some $$. Create an event! Have a reveal on a specific date similar to what the WFT is doing on 2/2/22 WFT Reveal. Build excitement around our new coach, new team, new identity! You now have buy in from the community!

His highlight tape is exciting. On a side note, JoMo has script, Dijon has the Z and the other guy (Fess) has the Fear the Roo head.

I love the staff he has put together. We can't afford the actual coordinators from P5s but we have hired bright young coaches who have had incredible mentors and come from big programs. They may be young but they will be hungry to make names for themselves. Very smart IMHO.

That is my concern. If it not checked, it becomes a bidding war and any school outside of the SEC/Big10 is doomed.

I was just excited to see the signing and commented that he was highly rated. I am simply pleased with the initial returns, didn't intend to get in to a "stars" debate.

I just watched his highlight tape. WOW! He is looks good and very shifty in the pocket and running.

The point of my comment is that the bar is being raised. It appears the players we are targeting and picking up are much higher rated than what we have been able to sign in the past - I view this as a positive. If you get one 3 star player every 3-4 years, the chances of them failing are pretty high, especially with bad coaching. A 5 star QB is not going to live up to his potential throwing to 1 star receivers and 1 star OCs. A 5 star QB is not going to live up to his potential behind a bunch of 1 star OL. I guarantee if you look at the recruiting ratings in college and the MAC there is a correlation to top recruiting ratings and championships.

I just don't know why we wouldn't want to be unique AND get away from the last 3 years of script embarrassment. Fresh start! Rebrand! It has already been created so no effort needed. We've got Rooheads on the football field, "Z" on the basketball court, script Akron on football helmets, "Z" on the Gozips website, etc. Consistency and repetition drives branding. The "Z" is cool and I can't think of another school that could use it. Like the rest of you I am more interested in Ws though.
