It looks like everyone who wanted tickets got them. My seats were great.(except for the guy with the big head seated directly in front of me ) Nick Lachey was sitting in the row behind us and caused quite a stir among the young ladies seated near us.

I watched the whole game. It looked like a typical MAC game to me. St. Marys star player was awful. The commentators described how he seemed to have hit some kind of wall a few weeks ago and has played like crap since. Justin Greene kept StM in the game by turning the ball over everytime he got it in the lane. But he made the layup at the end that proved to be the game winner. So far,the MAC is undefeated in post season play .

Interesting, because this was NOT how it was in Portland. All of the Zips fans were together in the 100 section. I guess I'll see what I have when I get there! I think thats because there were only about 100 of us Zips fans total in Portland.

My neighbor has 4 lower reserved seats in the center section. That would require a $500 per seat donation to the ZAC. If he doesn't get any, I don't have a chance. I've been a season ticket holder for 38 years, but I stopped sitting in the lower level about 7 years ago. I do make a $500 contribution to keep my Football ticket location, so that will help. Keeping my fingers crossed.

As the Zips were cutting down the nets last hight, I noticed Coach I in the stands directly below me. I yelled down to him that now it was his turn to bring home a championship. He looked at me like I must be nuts.

Before KD the Zips hadnlt even sniffed an NCAA post season bid in 20 years. Rome wasn't built in a day. I plan on enjoying every minute of this.

How dare KD not take us to the promised land. If we had a better coach I'm sure that every blue chipper in the country would flock here. After all, we have the most deserving fan base in the whole country. Look how we sell out every game and our students live and die for Zips sports. If we don't get rid of KD, we will never be national champs.

Trying to compare NCAA basketball to NCAA soccer is not a good comparison. Akron can compete at a high level in soccer because they can still compete financially with the big name schools. Soccer is still a second tier sport to many fans in the USA.

I went to the ticket office today to get my tickets. When asked where I wanted to sit, I was able to buy lower level seats at center court with no problem. All seats are $10 btw. 1500 max. attendance for Tuesday.

What I couldn't understand is why we didn' go to the zone defense after Zeke picked up his third foul. Can't is not a good three pt shooting team and I have to believe that the zone would have shut down th ose drives to the hoop we were giving up.
