  1. Green lead his team in defeating a foe who had beaten them twice this season. His team plays for the district championship on the 13th.http://www.columbuslocalnews.com/articles/...77913148708.txt
  2. Eutons team has advanced to the regional finals. The winner advances to the final four held at Rupp Arena.http://www.kentucky.com/2010/03/07/1170592...advance-to.html
  3. The Mc's took the night off. When that happens, we are really bad. Can't wanted it more than us.
  4. Just go to the game. There is always someone with an extra hanging out front. You really think there's a chance? I haven't gone in the front entrance in a few years as students have to go in the north west door so i dont ever see if scalpers or anything are out there. The UA cops have been clamping down on scalpers this season. You might get lucky.
  5. Don't let Dave mislead you, the Bulldogs are on a roll. http://www.ohio.com/sports/high_school/86504652.html http://www.ohio.com/sports/prep_stats/86504632.html
  6. Indiana doesn't sell out when OSU comes to town, and if they do it is b/c 1/2 are OSU fans.I expect a nice crowd for the Syracuse and Northern Illinois games. Anything else will be tough. For the GW game, they should promote perhaps a 50/50 raffle and/or a combination of that and some $$$ to charity. Something big will have to be done there to get attendance up. Of course, if they beat Syracuse, GW game might not be too bad. STUDENTS, STUDENTS, STUDENTS will be the key for those first couple games.Ergo, the GW game might not be too bad. I guaranty those Orangemen are going to be in for a world of hurt. And I will be there to join in the revelry that will usher in a new era of winning ZIPS football! Man, I can't wait. There would be nothing sweeter than starting off the season, and the RI regime, by winning the "rubber game of the match" against Syracuse. It sure beats breaking in a new staff against Salem-Tokyo (as they are known in the present) or the Hurons (as they were known in the past). 25 point bonus to whomever correctly names Dennison's 1st game opponent (road game) and his first home opponent. AT Delaware , Butler-home 50 point bonus for the same info for Larsen. At Wittenberg , Denison- HomeOn September 4. the campus atmosophere will be fantastic! Allow me to buy you one, dreal! Go Zips!!!
  7. Kinda like this guy!
  8. When I was looking in the mirror this morning while shaving, I asked him and he said it was OK with him!
  9. I was just joking about them covering their bet in Vegas. I would just like to see some more consistent calls.
  10. We played Ohio State in the NIT in 1989.It was a very tight game. OSU had Treg Lee, Chris Jent and I believe Jay Burson? The Zips Eric McLaughlin blew out his knee late after being thrown under the scorers table by an opposing player, and we couldn't recover.Instead of OSU, we would stand a very good chance of playing Dayton or Cincinnati should we end up in the the 2010 NIT.If your point is only that you'd rather be in the NCAA tourney than the NIT...or that participating in the NCAA tourney is more exciting than the NIT...why bother posting it? Who wouldn't rather be in the NCAA over the NIT? No one.Fixed.Fixed again.A lot of beers between March of '89 and March of '10. Feel free to correct post inaccuracies at any time. Now back to the beer... Does your boss know your drinking on the job?

Who wouldn't rather be in the NCAA over the NIT? No one.Fixed.Fixed again. That was the way it looked to me also. Even after loosing the Cricket, Anthony Buford almost singlehandedly willed the Zips to a win over the suckeyes. Buford outplayed Burson in a big way. That was also Huggins last game as the coach.
  12. I always thought that was the definition of Jamie Bosley. Eh?Bosley had a real knack for drawing fouls. He wasn't very tall, but he was fearless inside around the basket. He really knew how to use the backboard and all the angles to avoid getting his shot blocked. He may have been an a$$, but he was our guy so it didn't matter!
  13. Bo Boroski Mike SanzereJerry Sauder My guess would be these three guys for Friday.
  14. I think that Peggy Elliot would have gladly taken UA athletics back to D2 if she could have.
  15. What color would you like your hair to be after we win?
  16. My favourite call when D-rob was fouled shooting 3. The refs call 3 free throws. D-rob shoots the first 2 and then the refs decided to review the play on TV to find out if it was 2 or 3 Aren't you supposed to do that before the first 2 free throws???Even the TV announcers couldn't stop themselves from commenting on how uneven the officiating was. The traveling call with .8 seconds left was a joke. Maybe the refs needed to cover their bet in Vegas.
  17. thats pretty impressive, except that we havent even won 7 mac road games. infact we are 6-2 on the road in the mac and have won 5 mac road games in a rowThe Zips have won their last 7 MAC games in a row. He didn't say ROAD games. Mon, Feb 01 Eastern Michigan * - Akron, Ohio 7 p.m. 59 - 62 (L) Wed, Feb 03 Northern Illinois * - Akron, Ohio 7 p.m. 90 - 76 (W) Sat, Feb 06 Ball State * - at Muncie, Ind. 18. I think they still have one more season at Anderson. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stroh_Center
  19. You driving? Pick me up at I-71 and the Turnpike.
  20. It was on TV. I remember watching. I doubt there are any copies out there. The VCR had just been introduced the year before, most people did not have one. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Betamax
  21. Sounds like he should fit in here with no problems.
  22. Maybe it's just early, but I'm not sure I understand this. What you're really saying is that if the Zips just won every game, the selection committee would have a hard time passing them up?From what I've read, anything less than perfection is not acceptable to certain ZN members!
  23. Bring back Greg Rockich, he was like a good luck charm for Huggins.
  24. +1I would hope that now there is no pressure to have to win in order to get a bye, we should be loose as goose. Just go out and have fun. Its a lot more fun to win than to lose.
  25. I think Ronnie would see more PT if his defense improved. He was late getting back several times last night if I remember correctly, with one resulting in Zekes 4th foul. I really like what he brings to the offensive end. His ability to penetrate is a real pluse.
