    Womens swimming is a sport that stands to see the biggest effect from the policy of allowing transgenders to compete. The longer endurance events will have records obliterated under this scenario. I fail to understand how this all aligns with the goals of Title IX in promoting equality in collegiate sports.

    In my 50 plus years as a Zips sports fan I have never seen the stars aligned so perfectly as they are now. We have a university president that the complete support of the board of trustees and is not afraid to make the bold decisions needed to reposition the university. We also have his hand picked AD who is cut from the same cloth.

    This is where you are mistaken. The only thing LeBron has contributed to Akron is his name. He doesn't provide funding for his foundation or school. They are funded by corporations and charity organizations. In fact, LeBron has a reputation of being a cheapskate. As the many servers who have been stiffed by his greatness, my son being one of them.

    Unless we are willing to make the same level of financial commitment as the school from Spokane, it doesn't matter who we schedule in the non-conference part of the season.
