There is a plan to make major improvements to the JAR. New seating, new bathrooms, new ticket area and concessions. Hopefully some club seating in the upper level endzone behind the Tommy Evans lounge.

The same flu bug that has been effecting MBB and WBB also has taken it's toll on T&F.

At the beginning of practices for the 20-21 season it became obvious to those of us close to the program that Riq was going to take it to another level. When I posted here that he would be in the starting line up, more than a few of the regulars here scoffed. What made that starters spot possible is what still makes him the best player in the MAC, his relentless pursuit of excellence. He also benefitted from a great upbringing by his mom Tonya. He is just a great kid with a love for life.

Great effort tonight by the Zips. The flu bug has hit them hard. WBB and T&F too. Guys just sucked it up and competed!

Track is a different animal. You don't go all out at every event. It's a process. Pick your battles. Athletes are sent to different events to compete. Bottom line, the MAC championship is goal #1. Getting individual athletes a chance to compete at the NCAA's is #2. We still have athletes waiting for the NCAA clearing house to approve for mis-season.

The mens team will be strong. The womens team might be a year away.

That was our B squad. Why would we put our A squad in such an irrelevant event. Expect a totally different result this weekend Mrs Mitchell.

Mack Rhodes way overbuilt our football stadium during his tenure here. It looks like he learned his lesson and built this beauty for Baylor.

Pretty sure the arrangement was a leaseback deal with the port authority. UA gets the cash, to pay off debt, the port authority gets all the parking revenue via a long-term lease deal to pay back the bonds. The new parking operator is there to make sure the port authority gets all their revenue( minus their fee). I've been to many Rubber Duck games and have always paid for parking. YMMV Seriously? A guy for the SB's takes an at bat while on stilts!🤣

The food in Tommy Evans lounge has definitely improved under the current administration. Clearly the reason I keep renewing my tickets!🤣

Maybe you weren't aware, but UA leased all the parking lots for an 8 figure payment. That money has been used to help get UA out from under the mountains of debt that Proenza and others racked up during their tenures. BTW, OSU did the exact same thing.

Comparing Savannah Bannas to UA sports is not bolstering your argument. SB is a scripted theatrical production. The baseball version of the Harlem Globetrotters.

I gotta say, I sure am getting a chuckle out of all the bitching about a $10 ticket price and the athletics adminstration not schmoozing said cheap patrons. SMDH🫢

Mike Dawson has not been able to get into the flow following his first few games. He is shooting 32% from the field and from 3pt. If you take away those first few games it's even worse. Thornton and T Johnson have not show any kind of consistency. Neither has shown the ability to take the ball to the basket and shoot or dish to the open man. They are too prone to turnovers and defensive lapses. We lack a ball handler who can break the press or get open on inbounds plays without drama. Teams with big athletic front courts have given us trouble. We have size but not strength. I like our odds of winning the MAC but it won't be pretty. Lots of close games grinding out wins.
