  1. If you order through the Akron ticket office your seating assignment will be based on your contributions(or lack thereof) to the Zips Athletic Club. As long as the Zips keep winning you will be able to get tickets in the Akron sections.
  2. Dude looks like he put on the Freshman 40lbs after last season!
  3. Scott is also 2-16 over his last 5. 0-9 in the last 3.
  4. Over the last 5 games, Thornton is 2-12 from 3pt range.
  5. This is the point in the season where every team has got a very good scouting report on their opponents. Watching the USO vs Purdue game I saw some similarities between the Boilermakers and the Zips. Dominant big man with a bunch of role players. OSU defended them same way most teams have defended the Zips. Tight pressure on the ball handlers and deny the entry pass inside. Then send weakside help on the double team. If the big guy finds the open man and he can make the shot it is game over. If the open man is shooting bricks the other team has a chance. Dawson, Thornton and Scott are all members of the bricklayers union.
  6. Nate had a soft cast on his hand at JMU.
  7. Only 1? 😅
  8. I was looking for an Iceberg at 55.👋
  9. Anything they do to reduce the debt run up by Proenza and others is a step in the right direction. Letting others run things like parking and housing is a good idea. Just concentrate on educating. Let someone else worry about repaving parking lots and fixing leaky plumbing in dorm rooms.
  10. I can think of millions of reasons why other schools might be hesitant to hire JG away from Akron. I think the type of program he runs is a perfect fit for a quality mid-major. He isn't greasy enough for the average P-5 up and comer. Hopefully improvements to the JAR and other enhancements to the program keep him around. He is a perfect fit for Akron.
  11. Jimmal Ball is in the JAR tonight@
  12. Should be fine.
  13. I think Sammy is playing fine. On Friday, when Riq got into foul trouble, he slid into that position and performed admirably.
  14. Call the ticket office.
  15. There is a plan to make major improvements to the JAR. New seating, new bathrooms, new ticket area and concessions. Hopefully some club seating in the upper level endzone behind the Tommy Evans lounge.
  16. KD left for $1,000,000/yr guaranteed for 7 years at his Fathers Alma Mater.

  18. Thanks for being such a great fan!
  19. The same flu bug that has been effecting MBB and WBB also has taken it's toll on T&F.
  20. At the beginning of practices for the 20-21 season it became obvious to those of us close to the program that Riq was going to take it to another level. When I posted here that he would be in the starting line up, more than a few of the regulars here scoffed. What made that starters spot possible is what still makes him the best player in the MAC, his relentless pursuit of excellence. He also benefitted from a great upbringing by his mom Tonya. He is just a great kid with a love for life.
  21. Great effort tonight by the Zips. The flu bug has hit them hard. WBB and T&F too. Guys just sucked it up and competed!
  22. Based on his resume as stated in the article, he is a perfect fit at Can't.
  23. Track is a different animal. You don't go all out at every event. It's a process. Pick your battles. Athletes are sent to different events to compete. Bottom line, the MAC championship is goal #1. Getting individual athletes a chance to compete at the NCAA's is #2. We still have athletes waiting for the NCAA clearing house to approve for mis-season.
