Both of those kids ended up at UA because KD was the only d1 coach who believed in them. He made a commitment to their familys that would always have place on his team. They made the choice to follow him to Duquesne. He didn't actively recruit them.

I am sad to see my friend George moving on to a new challange. If there was ever someone who bled Blue and Gold it would be George. From his playing days as a pitcher to his time in the athletics department he always had UA and it's athletes as a top priority. You will be sorely missed George. If we didn't let NIU shoot 60% from the field in the second half we wouldn't have needed for everything to go perfectly for us to win.

The biggest problem with this team is the inability to get stops on defense. Our guards are slow footed and can't stay in front of their man. The result of that is just what we're seeing this week. Lot's of drives to the basket that end up in layups or wide open threes for our opponent. This is the worst defensive team Groce has put on the court.

He was a little misguided on a lot of things.
