Our friends 18 year old son has won over $250K playing Fortnite.

Perhaps you should consider the possibilty that the coaching staff is unwilling to give George much information to be published. Giving away your game plan and indepth player evaluations probably isn't the best bet either.

Where did you find that?

That my friends, sums up the future of "college" football. The minor leagues for the NFL.

Women's soccer needs a new head coach
Hilltopper replied to TennZip's topic in Akron Zips NCAA Championship Soccer
It will be a much shorter commute from her home near Butler to her new job than it was to Akron. The fact that she never really relocated here after she was hired was baffling. I'm sure Charles will make a hire who is fully committed to raising the level of the program. -
The black rubber will tone it down.

I would expect another solid hire by Guthrie. Fielding a solid MAC contender would be a realistic goal.
-
This is a great hire by Guthrie. A proven winner. I'm sure the members of the team are thrilled.

Matt Kaulig (Racing) Former Zips QB
Hilltopper replied to Section210Zip's topic in Akron Zips Football
How ironic. He is paying to sponser an event that gives money to LBJ. -
Looks like there will be no webcam after all. Chad reached out to me today and said something different is in the works. I have no idea what that means. Sorry for getting peoples hopes up.

Position Preview (and updates) - Quarterback
Hilltopper replied to catdaddyp's topic in Akron Zips Football
Had a chance to chat with JoMo at the golf outing today. Irons is the #1 QB out of spring practice, but that is subject to change. He likens his preference at qb to be like a point guard. He wants the QB to distribute the ball to the play makers all over the field. He values good decision making and no turnovers over splashy individual play making. -

The outing was completely sold out weeks ago. It was a nice day for golf(a little hot) and the course was in great shape. A nice opportunity to meet student athletes from every sport -
I talked to Chad Welker today at the golf outing and the web cam should up and running in the next day or two.

Fall 2022 Mens soccer schedule
Hilltopper replied to TennZip's topic in Akron Zips NCAA Championship Soccer
You are totally wrong about the AD being not interested in fixing this situation with the MAC regarding soccer. I'm sure once the MAC completely implodes there will be a landing spot for us that you will like. Believe me when I say soccer is a priority for Guthrie. -
I'll never forget the final game on grass at the Rubber Bowl. We played the Quantico Marines. It was a near blizzard. Quantico wore all white uniforms with white helmets. Without the mud you wouldn't have been able to see them. By the end of the game there probably wasn't a single blade of grass left.

Was on campus today and stopped by to take a look. Nothing happening at Infocision stadium. Lots of activity at the JAR where they are filming scenes for LeBrons Shooting Stars movie.

The penalty is for having obnoxious fans on a teams message board.

2023 Offers & Verbal Commitments
Hilltopper replied to Blue & Gold's topic in Akron Zips Basketball Recruiting
As with all of Groce's recruits, playing time is never guaranteed to any player. If a player puts in the work on the court and classroom anything is possible. -
Tavari Johnson, next Chicago PG
Hilltopper replied to Z.I.P.'s topic in Akron Zips Basketball Recruiting
4A is the top division in Illinois boys high school basketball. Glenbard West (37-0), which went wire-to-wire as the state's top-ranked team with a stacked lineup being compared to the strongest in Illinois history, accounted for 3 of 6 losses by Tavari's Lyons team (26-6). Lyons was eliminated in the state championship tournament by Whitney Young HS which lost to Glenbard West in the state championship game. At the end of the season Massey Ratings showed Lyons as the 10th-ranked Illinois team with Tavari being their only star player. Tavari's raw stats don't fully reflect the importance of his team leadership as opposing teams focused their defenses on stopping him. In his senior season he averaged 16.5 PPG, 4.5 assists, 2.5 turnovers and 2.2 steals.
