  1. Joe is a trend setter.
  2. Watch this and tell me what you think. He was the leading scorer in the Canton/Akron Pro-Am league this summer, over 30 pts per game.
  3. Some more tidbits; Mike Hughes is much more athletic than Pat Foresyth. He also has a bit of a mean streak. Noah Robothom is no longer wearing a knee brace. Emanuel Olajapoke has serious hops and a nice touch around the basket. If Big Dog is open from beyond the arc don't be surprised to see him take the shot.
  4. This season hinges on 2 things. Number one is who steps up and fills the minutes left by the graduation of Reggie and Jake. The leading candidates are Dan Utomi and Craig Eubanks. Neither of them are as deadly spot up shooters from the 3 point line but both are much more athletic and can also take the ball to the hoop. Number two is the play of Kwan Cheatum. If KC shows the maturity needed and becomes more consistent around the basket this team will excel. The wild card is Tavian Dunn-Martin. He is a scoring machine but has never been asked to play man to man defense before. If he can learn what it takes to stay in front of his man he will get some significant PT.
  5. They gave away a bunch of the black uniform tops at the golf outing as door prizes. I would guess that will something new for this season.
  6. That is Joes lucky coat, we never lose when he wears that coat. BTW, it's a block A logo not a moving A. 71, don't worry Joe has plenty of Zips gear including the most current items.
  7. If I told you, I would have to kill you.
  8. Matt Wilson takes on the student body in hoops.
  9. I'm at the Green vs Ellet game tonight. Bridges has already scored 3 touchdowns in the first 9 minutes of the game. The kid is REALLY fast!
  10. Not gonna happen. He doesn't have the pedigree. He is also too valuable to the Law school.
  11. Balsy you are just as guilty about making generalizations as those you accuse. Not every student is living on Raman noodles, working a full time job and in debt up to their ears. Many have wise parents who saved for their childrens education or at least help out financially. It's also possible to get some very large scholarship dollars with ACT scores as low as 25 or 26. Just because school was a struggle for you doesn't mean it is like that for everyone.
  12. Sorry, but there is no way you could confuse Jim Dennison and Jim Tressel. Dennison is a frail old man in his 80's, Tressel not so much.
  13. I believe it is Ap-uh-Latch-un.
  14. You could have stopped at the Bucket Shop on your way home.
  15. The last (and only) time I went to the Tilted Kilt the food was mediocre at best and our waitress was downright ugly! I try to avoid chain restaurants unless there are no other options.
  16. Legends Bar and grill is pretty good. It's only a mile of so up the road in Green. Smoke the Burger Joint is real good too. If you like Mexican food, Nuevo Acapulco has great Margaritas and food. If you want more upscale you can't go wrong with the Twisted Olive . Finally, if you are a whiskey connoisseur, you will really like Whiskey Ranch. They have over 150 brands of whiskey in stock. All of the places are just a few minutes drive from where you are staying.
  17. Talk about out of the frying pan and into the fire! NASCAR is in a death spiral. They are one of the few sporting events that has more empty seats than Zips football.
  18. Our OC sucks. No imagination or any type of flow to the play calling.
  19. About as useful as the old Yellow Pages book. ?
  20. I have to believe that the BG vs GS game might have been a bit different if it hadn't been played in a monsoon. The heavy rain and wind took all of BG's weapons out of play and actually helped GS's scatback QB.
